If you want fresh delicious fish, please check out RED SNAPPER in Matteson. We happened upon it by talking to a friend who highly recommended it. We had gone to Lawrence's Fish & Shrimp in Olympia Fields earlier which was HORRIBLE!!! RED SNAPPER is way better than Lawrence's. We ordered the perch dinners and were they tasty!! Plus, we called in our order and they said it'd be ready in only 10-15 minutes!!! We will be ordering from RED SNAPPER at least once a week now!!!

I would say when I first walked in the place was clean and the guy at the register was friendly. I was in town visiting family and wanted to try some place new. I ordered a catfish nugget and shrimp combo. I got it back and the fish was not edible because it was fried too hard and not at all seasoned well. I called immediately to let them know and they said a new order would be ready in 5 minutes. I returned only to be told they could no remake my food without providing the original meal. However no one told me I needed to bring the old food back. It was in the trash where it rightly belonged. They said that was company policy and initially gave me a really hard time. I am a financial advisor not an owner of a greasy spoon how could I have possibly known the policy. None the less after sharing my frustration they made some nuggets and they were not seasoned and not fresh tasting.

They are very affordable, nice and hot food served in a timely matter. Lovely service with a smile...I suggest going and trying the protein bowl, they are delicious....
Staff are friendly. We prefer their rice bowls with shrimp. Very seasoned sauce is delicious. I've never been disappointed with this choice. Also the slushies are good Definitely recommend the rice bowl.

I preferred a rice bowl last night with 2 meats. Company must be under new ownership. I paid $20 for the bowl which is normally big enough to last me at least 2 days. They gave me a cardboard bowl with 3 shrimp and less than half a chicken breast. The biggest waste of money. I didn’t realize it until I got home. Previous ownership you got what you paid for. New ownership is ripping people off. Don’t waste your money here.

I’ve been living in Matteson for 2 years now and only ate here 3 times. This 3rd time was so disgraceful. Me and my guy friend ordered the special of party wings I think it was like 8 for $6 he ordered a batch and I did. We woke up the next morning both balled up in so much pain eating that rat food rat or cat food. We threw up and ran off. Won’t ever be back for a 4th time I hate this place
