I would have much preferred to leave a great review, but my half dozen cookies order was never sent and the communication issues were such that this negative review feels necessary. I received one response during the approximate 1.5 week period of placing the order to giving up entirely. They said they had hoped to complete my order the fourth day after purchase. That day came and went, but soon after I received a survey email asking how we liked it. Confused I reached out to see if the order had been sent. No response. After a couple more days I sent another asking that the order be canceled if not sent. No response. One more email 5 days later I asked for confirmation that the order had been canceled and my money refunded. No response.

This bakery has excellent cookies made from scratch, cupcakes, and cake slices! I have had their espresso multiple times and it is consistently delicious. Get over to Strugglebeard for delicious cookies / cupcakes / cakes / coffee and a cool vibe.

Strugglebeard Bakery is a hidden gem! Literally the best caramel cake I’ve ever had moist, rich, and full of that buttery, homemade flavor that takes you back to family gatherings. From the moment we walked in, the owner made us feel incredibly welcome. He was so personable and generous, offering us samples of both the red velvet brownie and the caramel cake (which was a game-changer, by the way).
You can tell everything is made with care and intention each bite tasted fresh and absolutely delicious. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. I’m already planning my next visit so I can try the cookies and more of their menu. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates thoughtfully made desserts and great service. A true local treasure!

I love their brownies! At first sight, it looks almost like a crime to have a brownie this big! It is very tasty and rich with deep and nutty flavor. The amazing thing is that even eating when it is cold, it is still gooey and delicious. I am looking forward to going back to have more pieces and try other items as well. The staff here is very kind, asking about warming up the brownie and getting the bag for me as well.
