I'm speechlesss, yet I have so much to say, I'll start with the James Todd which I have renamed the L spot because it hits the spot for lemon lovers. The cookie itself is moist with this amazing texture in and outside the cookie and the glaze/icing is on point with not a drizzle but a cookie covering of sweet, tangy, refreshing but still rich goodness.Next I'm not even a chocolate fan, I have to be in the mood, but i have been in the mood for almost a week straight for these DARN brownies. I would say don't do it but I'm not going out alone lol. These brownies have a texture and taste that will make you want to SMILE while eating because you're so happy. They are incredibly moist while having the true brownie lovers crunch. The carmel or everything both are equally DELISH!!To top it off I have to shout out the whole staff, who all awesome in their own individual ways. The owner may be stuggling with beard but I am struggling to stay out of this bakery. Kudos to you Quinton and your annointed hands!!

I came in to buy an oatmeal raisin cookie. The young lady said oh yes we have the hipster oatmeal raisin cookie. So I said sure let's try it. Bad mistake! That cookie is not worth $5. The cookie tasted like a plain raisin cookie with a pinch of cinnamon in it. What a waste of money. I will not be back.

I love this place! Their baked goods are absolutely delicious! I’ve had multiple versions of their brownies - all amazing. My little one is obsessed with the Redder Fox cookie. On top of that, everyone there is so kind and thoughtful. Could not recommend this place enough!

The freshness of the desserts I had and very decent workers,I would definitely come back.I never felt this good shopping anywhere let alone a bakery store that we need more of in the community. And the prices are reasonable.Way better than going to a carry out for low quality OVERPRICED little Debbie snacks. Thanks again and I'll be back when I visit Chicago.

Being able to have artisan goodies shipped is an amazing and appreciated service.Of course our next trip to Chicago will include an in-person visit, hopefully timed to coincide with a much-loved community event.

The smell when I walked through the door! I got the lemon blueberry loaf and the Trez V. Pugh cookie. The lemon blueberry loaf was thee absolute perfect taste and texture! The Trez V. Pugh cookie was a great size, chewy and flavorful! It reminds me of chocolate pralines and a good mix of spices, which is always good! I will be back!

I love having a black-owned bakery in Hyde Park, especially one run by a Veteran. I've visited several times, and while their baked goods have a delightful flavor, I'm disappointed that they don't serve items baked on the same day, which they proudly mention on social media. As a bakery, I believe it would be wonderful if they made bread and seized the opportunity to supply other local restaurants and customers in Hyde Park. This is my only concern. Having been a baker myself and visited numerous bakeries, I believe this difference could transform an okay bakery into one that is truly exceptional.
