Decent. Online menu prices incorrect, wasn't surprised because it looks like they where last updated in 2007. But that's okay, food was alright was already done eating by the time I got my sides. Service was alright, if your not in a hurry this is a great spot. If you expect great service patience is key.

My recent visit to Green Street Cafe in McHenry was incredibly disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the service was painfully slow. It took forever for someone to even acknowledge me, and when they finally did, the hostess looked absolutely miserable – not a welcoming sight. When the food eventually arrived, it was clear the kitchen staff wasn't paying attention. They'd managed to burn my biscuit, and instead of remaking it, they tried to cover it up with a mountain of gravy. It was a sloppy attempt to hide their mistake, and it didn't work. The biscuit tasted burnt. The overall atmosphere was just off. It felt like no one cared about the customers. I wouldn't recommend Green Street Cafe to anyone. There are plenty of other places in McHenry where you can get decent food and friendly service. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

What a great little hidden gem. We finally found a place that serves crispy American fries. The portions aren't too big, and the service is very friendly. The ham and cheese omelette was cooked to perfection. The orange juice was pulp free, and the water didn't taste off. If you're looking for a new place to try, I highly recommend this place.
Can't remember the name but I had eggs Benedict with gravy and regular breakfast sausage 10 out of 10!!

We went in just before noon. Party of 3. We all ordered a basic breakfast (such as kids chocolate chip pancakes with sausage, 2x2x2 scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes). All waters. We waited an hour for our food to be brought to us. The caliber of food definitely did not match the wait time. Moreover, no one ever came by to refill our waters at all during the whole visit. One glass was empty even when they brought out of the food and still there was no refill. We would not return or recommend it to others.
