An amazing hidden gem! Delicious food and service was spot on. Donna was absolutely amazing and and the decor of the military was great to see. The amount of support they give is heartwarming. Definitely recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

Disappointing! This was my first and likely last visit to Kim and Patty’s cafe. Low quality food, a rather angry staff and frosty welcome. We observed loud warm welcomes for regular clients. Pricey, on top of low quality. Sorry can NOT recommend, even if they try to support veterans.

Amazing little gem! It’s tucked away by McHenry hospital but definitely hit the right spot. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and eggs and sausage and my uncle had the potato pancakes! Chefs kiss as they say! High recommend and the staff was very pleasant.

Much like most McHenry eateries, they often receive high scores from friends, family and long-time regulars. Sadly, this also ends up covering up a lot of low quality cooking. Kim & Patty's may honor our Vets on their walls, but their food doesn't honor our wallets. From dry sausages, "they're supposed to be like that!", to under-seasoned gravy. Our breakfast--delivered by doordash--was a HUGE (and expensive) disappointment. If the food is better in the restaurant, they need a serious discussion with staff about the importance of delivery order quality. Not sure we'll be spending our money here again.

I ordered this food from DoorDash so I really can’t attest to the service or atmosphere but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, the food was sub par, at best. The b&g’s gravy was watery and had an interesting flavor that was not well liked. The cinnamon roll French toast was mediocre with little flavor. Not to mention, every dish was expensive but could be in line with what every restaurant is charging for food nowadays. I would skip this place regardless of the overall rating. Unfortunate.

Kim and Patty's is our favorite place for a lot of reasons. First and foremost, the food!!! Always tasty, revolving specials weekly(these are always very creative considering they change all the specials quite regularly and always coming up with new ideas!) Tied for first is the service. We have been treated like family from the first time we ate there a couple years ago and that hasn't changed. If anything we have become more endeared, as we usually go there at least once a week and always with a warm welcome. Weekends can be very busy, so be prepared to wait, and it's worth it! Lastly, in an unprecedented 3 way tie for first, is the veteran memorial theme and the unwavering support for the armed forces, as well as, first responders. The walls are awash with history and the faces of so many that paid the ultimate price. My buddy is a veteran and very much appreciates the "memorial",if you will. It is not somber though. It is always a lively atmosphere with plenty of laughter, and for breakfast or lunch is my personal favorite out of many options. The consistency of all the above attractions is always?. Enjoy alla sincere thank you too the whole team at Kim and Patty's for an always fantastic dining experience. ?

I’ve given this place a lot of chances every time I’m there there’s confusion either bringing someone else’s food to our table or bringing someone else’s bill or the owner acting very strange every time I’m in there it’s always something from being double charged to burnt food. I wish them luck, but I would try somewhere elseOK I tried it again and the waitress gave us a credit card bill of $60 for something that should’ve only been $20. It seems to be a problem.
