Went here for the first time service was exceptional. They let us know today was mothers day in mexico which I loved it doesnt change anything but it was cute that they mentioned it to us. They stopped us on our way out to give me and my friend roses for mothers day. They were quick and on top of everything, very attentive. Two mom with two little ones was a challenge but they made us feel very welcome. The enchiladas were great 9.5/10 the quesabirria was ok 6.5/10 not my favorite I couldve order soemthing else but I was happy enough. Absolutely would go back again.

I met a couple friends here for dinner. I made a 5:45p reservation but it wasn’t necessary. We were quickly seated and immediately presented with chips and salsa, and they took our drink order. The chips were good and the salsa was mild. After a few minutes the waitress came back and confirmed what we wanted to drink then brought out the drinks. While she was getting drinks another server came by and asked if we wanted something to drink. This happened a couple more times throughout the dinner. Not a big deal but something for the restaurant to be aware of.

The food: the food was fresh and hot when served. I had the burrito dinner one friend had the steak fajitas, and the other had the chimichanga. All the food was good, but there wasn’t any distinctive flavors. It was worthy of the four stars.

The atmosphere was a little loud, but they sat us next to a table of 14, so that is to be expected. After they left, it was great.

Overall, I think we’ll be back, the food was good. The atmosphere was good and the service was good.

Great portions, delicious food, friendly service. I will drive 30 minutes from Marengo any day for this food!!

Of course I trusted Google when trying to find a place to eat before a show at The Vixen and being a big margarita fan, I was so excited to try this place! The reviews raved about the margs and that sealed the deal for me. Sadly, it did not deliver. While the margaritas were a great size, I've never had more watered-down margaritas in my life. Not only was there hardly any alcohol in it, the ratio of marg mix tasted like a toddler's watered-down apple juice. I was so sad.

A friend and I shared the chicken quesadillas and after we ordered, the food was delivered in literally record time--maybe 5 mins? Which in all fairness could be incredible...but the problem was that part of the meal was cold. The refried beans were literally cold (not even remotely warm) and the quesadilla temp was mid. The cheese was technically melted, but the chicken inside the quesadilla was hardly warm (weird, right?).

I appreciated the portion size of the quesadilla, but the temp it all came at kind of ruined that positive aspect of the meal. The chips and salsa were okay. I think both were homemade, but the chips were beyond greasy and the cups they gave you salsa in were made for children. You could hardly fit a chip in there!

The atmosphere wasn't for everyone. I will say it was "authentic," but it was quite loud and there was a fairly large (dare I say obnoxious) party on the other side of the restaurant that was fairly distracting and ruined the vibe a bit. You can't fault the restaurant for that (especially if they're regulars), but don't go expecting a nice place to have a conversation.

Service was great, but we had so many random workers come up to us asking if everything was okay, that I honestly don't know who our actual waiter/waitress was or who I was tipping! So it was hard to give feedback because I wasn't sure if it was a busboy, a waiter or a manager! I did tell "one" of the people about the refried beans and he kind of smiled and walked away. It was probably pointless to let them know our concerns.

Overall, I would not recommend this place. I had high hopes but will absolutely find another place the next time I'm in town. Nothing about our experience made me want to return.

Waited over 15 minutes without a server coming over. They were not busy; about 5 tables sat. Left and went to Tacos El Norte!

We'll be back. This place is as good as it gets. Service, food, ambiance...doesn't get any better. The Mole' sauce was scratch made and best I've ever tasted. I could eat it as a soup! NCan't wait to return!

Delicious place in McHenry well worth the time. Great service, awesome food, with plenty of room inside. I had the qeusadilla fajita dinner, and it was massive, gooey, and delicious. Next time, we're trying the margaritas.

Service was terrible absolutely HORRIBLE . food was cold. oysters were rotten. They smelled so gross . I almost broke my teeth with the chips! When I complain about the oysters, they said that the skin was left on, so that’s probably what made them smell so Horrible this place is garbage. I do not recommend it at all. Eat some else
