Leona's Pizzeria is a nice place in McHenry, part of a well-known Chicago-land chain. The restaurant offers outstanding pizza, described as excellent and the best in McHenry, with abundant toppings. Other menu items are also delicious and fresh, including excellent fries, a very good Italian beef, penne and meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and fried ravioli. The parmesan chicken sandwich comes in big portions with great flavor. While the location is just starting out and working things out, the food remains consistently great, matching the quality of the busier Chicago locations. The staff is helpful, and the prices are considered reasonable. It is a highly recommended spot for pizza and all menu items.
