This is a great place to eat Italian food if you're not Italian. If you are Italian, you can tell the difference being Italian. I can tell you that's a fact

Brandon was an awesome server! We come here very often and brandon was very attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed before he left the table every time he checked on us, it’s little things like this that make the difference! Food was hot and prepared deliciously.

Since we live in Mundelein’s north side, this time we’ve decided to try McHenry Olive Garden instead of our usual Vernon Hills OG one. What a waste of money and time. The first thing they did is they put us within booth area with literally every other guests present. I am talking 5.000 sqft restaurant placing all the guests in 100 sqft area- teenagers, families with kids, elderly people…pure horror…but thats not the end…the food comparing to Vernon Hills was complete garbage. Im sorry, but there is just not other word to describe it. Just skip it.

Service has changed with the times. I was on a date night with my wife and everything started out wonderful then slowly took a turn. Server was very nice but apologies for not getting to us right away due to her getting slammed. Took our order and you could tell she was somewhat over whelmed. A party left that were sitting at the table next to ours and there dirty table sat there unattended for over 15 minutes then two busser and a hostess spoke loudly about who was going to clear the table. The two bussers then began to carry on a conversation about hockey, theybwere loud. Also, we never saw a manager walking the floor, asking the guest how there dinning experience was. As for our food it was excellent. The final thing I’ll bring up was our waitperson did not ask us for dessert…back in the day it was important to build up your check average, I guess thats not important now a days. In closing I think this place could use some training. In times where people go out for entertainment they should feel like. They got there money’s worth.

Olive Garden is a bit of a mixed bag. The food is generally good – I especially enjoyed the Tour of Italy, even if it's a bit pricey. However, the service can be slow, and my first drink had a rotten strawberry in it, which wasn't a great start. Despite that, I've actually been back a few times since then. So, while they have some inconsistencies, the food is good enough to bring me back. Just hoping for fresher drinks next time!

Jen P, the waitress, talks us into dipping sauce for the bread sticks. Which we did not want or use. Then charges us $4.79 for it! Nice way to drive up the tips
