Recently tried to place a phone order while coming back from a doctor appointment. After years of placing phone orders was told they will not do a phone order. This policy is a slap in the face for customer service. Expected to stop and play with app. Was told I could go to drive thru, which would have placed me there at peak lunch time. Panera has just added another reason to pass, from declining bread selections to a very cold atmosphere in Mchenry

I haven’t been to the Panera in McHenry since they opened the new location until 2 days ago. What a disappointment it was. The atmosphere of the old Panera across the road is completely gone! My high school cafeteria was nicer than this place. One open room with no character or warmth that the old place had. The food was fine even though they are very slow to get the food out compared to the old place or Crystal Lake. Doing construction for a living this was a major disappointment. Everything about this place is a fail and the parking lot layout is not good either and I thought that’s why they moved. Please gut the dining room and try again.

Pulled up to the drive-through 9 PM. Yes they just closed. And asked if they could just make me a quick sandwich but they refused. It was disappointing.
Menu pricing very deceptive. Sandwiches good but over priced.

Yeesh, where do I begin? This Panera doesn't meet the typical Panera standards. The "atmosphere/overall vibe" was not there... Food was mid, and the customer was equivalent. Overall 3/5.

I always order the Smokehouse Barbecue Chicken sandwich, so I know how it is made. Where is the cheese? Ordered extra onions, where are they? Extra barbecue sauce??? I did this myself on the kiosk, so I know it wasn’t ordered incorrectly. I literally had bread with some barbecue sauce and a few onions for lunch - for $11.00. Ordered a bakery item with my food and they put it on the counter separate from my to go order and continued to yell my last name at the top of their lungs until I told the server it went with the rest of my order, which was to-go. So odd. This location was very well staffed, which was a plus, but by far the worst Panera location I have ever been to. A big, cold, open room that was noisy and uninviting. There is nothing warm or welcoming about this location, which is newer. I sure hope this isn’t the model Panera is leaning towards! Don’t fix what isn’t broken Panera. This is a fail….and a waste of $11 today.

Stop making drive thru orders wait in line when they placed their orders on the app well in advance.
In the summer, you guys would have these orders move to the mobile app pickup area. Now, if it's not 50 degrees out, you guys make us wait 10-15 minutes in a drive thru line, defeating the purpose of ordering ahead of time.
Yea, I sound like a karen. But damn, my time is valuable too....
