I grew up in Baltimore, and Rita’s had a number of locations there. I was so excited to see this location open. The owner is usually there working, and is very friendly had helpful. They will let you taste anything before you decide. My favorite is five layer gelati, which layers custard and Italian ice. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
I'm really torn on how to rate this place. It is soooooo good the custard is so creamy and amazing, unlike anything else around here. And the people that work there are very nice! The Italian ice is really well done, and I think it's at least partially homemade. Now to the bad part... the price. It feels really overpriced. I know that milk is expensive, but it's not really wallet friendly at all. 2 small waffle cones and a small cake cone were literally 20 dollars......
Custard was delicious but I feel overpriced for the portions. There was also a $1.69 upcharge per waffle cone and I’m unclear as to why that was necessary. I feel strongly that any up charges should be outlined on the menu, not added as a surprise when rang up at the register
