This location needs to stop making doordash deliveries. Waiting over 20 minutes for an order. If you can't complete the orders in time then don't take them. Well absolutely avoid any orders in the future.

Was disappointed. When I use to go in for lunch the place was packed. Now today you order from a kiosk. You get a receipt with a qr code. That's how the soda fountain turns on. They put your order up on a counter call or your number. 2 employees working with very little interaction. I will not be going back. Doesn't match the vibe from the pictures on the wall.

This is not the Steak and Shake I remember. We hadn't been since before COVID hit, and while most restaurants made changes to survive, they seem to have gone overboard.
Visually, it's the same bright, clean, diner look as before. The food is mostly the same, though the menu is a shell of it's former self. It's now a slimmed down fast food menu instead. Not even the titular shake selection has escaped the headsman's axe.
Sadly, the service experience has been affected the most. From the sign standing inside the door telling you to order at the kiosk before seating yourself, to the drink machine that requires a QR code from your receipt to dispense drinks, you almost wouldn't know the restaurant had staff if you weren't asked by the kiosk about tipping them, and couldn't see them in the back making food. The only interaction we had was hearing them call out names after placing a completed order on the counter, only to retreat to the back once more before you arrive to collect it.
We're not complaining about the people themselves, but instead the changed business model that reduces them to little more than a cog in a corporate machine.
Sadly, I don't see us returning in the future unless we happen to want a shake from the drive-thru, where, paradoxically, we're likely to get more human interaction than actually going inside.

This location must be getting ready for changes. The awnings have been removed from the building, I wasn't sure it was even open. The person who took the order was friendly and made everything quickly. Food was good. Hoping this is in preparation for a facelift? I did not enter the building so it possible that the interior was nice but I did not get to experience that on this trip.

Well. Let me start with this. One, they have a dirty ice machine. Lady gave me a bunch of ice in an empty cup full of nasty. She had to see that. Two. Why give the skin of a pickle with no actual pickle. Yes, that happened to us. I think a bunch of kids run this place. If not , the adults act like children. Not a fan of the QR code to scan to get a drink. Are we starting digital id already when I don't agree to it. I won't be coming back.

I haven’t been to a Steak N Shake since I was in my junior year of high school due to the horrible customer service. I am happy to say all issues at the Shake Shake have been resolved. The food is delicious for the price, beef tallow fries are AMAZING! Shakes are still as tasty as I remember! Still has that 60s diners feel with a modern approach to service. No more do you have to wait on waiters or a cashier. Self serve kiosk to order and pick your food up when they call it. Sometimes if it’s busy management will bring the food to your table. Service is really nice and staff is SUPER friendly. Instead of hitting your local fast food restaurant I’d rather sit down with my wife for a meal at Steak N Shake!
