An absolute gem in the middle of downtown McHenry. Perfect assortment of drinks, pastries and breakfast/brunch items. Special shout out to the Avocado Toast!! Every time we stop in the service is friendly and dining area clean. Highly recommend!!

I tried Toast and Roast for the first time yesterday and was so impressed. The atmosphere is so welcoming and spacious like a coffee shop should be. Melissa was so helpful and friendly helping me choose my items. The Maple latte was spot on! Not too sweet and not too milky. Melissa also delivered my delicious avocado toast. It had just the right about of seasoning and very fresh! I highly recommend!!

Very nice space design and very clean. As others have said, the espresso drink seemed less flavorful, more milk and maybe he didn't steam the milk enough because my hot caramel latte was pretty cold. I had 2 pastries because they look delicious but they were straight out of the freezer and ok, not great. The pro-move here seems to be to get an espresso with extra shots and then go to Riverside Bake Shop to get baked goods.

Super cute place the workers were sooooo nice and the food and coffee were a 100/10. Prices are actually really good for a local coffee shop. Bought some ground beans to bring home as well. Highly recommend

Super clean I tried their Lox on the Fox, fig Toast and Pecan French toast as well as their signature sweet almond hot coffee. The French toast and Lox on the fox was great same with the coffee. The fig toast was good too just wished there was more fig jam but I thinks that's a personal preference. The associates where nice store was clean plenty of seating in and outdoors.
Parking: Some parking on the street if you get there early enough or drive down the street a little to the larger parking lot and walk over.

Very nice atmosphere, nice waitstaff but the coffee was not good. I ordered a small latte. I asked the barista if there was only one shot of espresso in it (because all I tasted was milk). She told me there were two shots. LOL, I paid almost $5 for a cup of warm milk. But the brownie was pretty good.
