We occasionally come on Saturdays for their prime rib dinner. Food has always been great. Use caution when ordering from the bar. My “regular” margarita was blue and was very sour, I don’t know what they used to make it but I couldn’t drink it. The service does lack at times due to amount of tables filled. It’s a little outdated and dull inside but never dirty.

This is a small town gem. It's located in one of the old main street buildings and the owners have kept it looking great! I've eaten here many times and have not been disappointed. The country fried steak, the ribeye and the salmon are my favorites. This little place is just a short country cruise away with a really good meal at the end of it. Don't miss out!

Visiting Springfield Illinois from Ohio and found this place from a local tourist magazine. We had the famous Horseshoe sandwich that is a Springfield staple. The service was excellent and the price was great.

Great waitress. We had never been there before she took her time and explained what was made in the house and recommended things. Great food. Fall off the bone ribs. Best I had ever had. We were from. Champaign, we will bring friends back to try it.

This was my first time eating at Abe’s Hideout in Mechanicsburg. Our food was wonderful. Our waitress Stephanie was absolutely wonderful. She has the grace of aristocracy and bubbling over friendliness that can only be found in Midwest.
