Good food, friendly staff and a wide range of choices"Was in area for work, we stopped here a few times for breakfast and also a few times for supper, the food was never a disappointment and was always fresh and served right, there coffee was even good. The staff was always very friendly and it was just a pleasure to eat there. I will eat there again if I am in the area.

We went here a couple weeks ago to visit my family. This was the first time my partner had ever met my family in person. Makes for a great relaxed atmosphere. The entrees are delicious. And the service staff were great as well always checking in on us. The owner even came over to check on our table as I saw him go to every other table in the dining room. But he didn't stick around. He made sure we were okay, he made sure we are enjoying everything, and that everything was made to our satisfaction. But he was not a nuisance.

Since the Approach was sold and named Reapproach the food isn't the same. I've noticed the portions are smaller, the catfish fritters are not the same, those aren't very good anymore. You would think the new owners would leave well enough alone and leave things the way they were but not this place. We won't be back.

Very bad food Buffalo and American fries was burnt. You couldn't eat them and yes they did redo our order but got charged $50.00 for three Buffalo with American fries and three diet mountain dews.

I ordered the Buffalo fish lunch with French fries... honestly given the price to food volume ratio, im surprised they make money. I got a huge portion of fried but not greasy Buffalo and I was shocked at the taste and presentation. The waitress didn't hover over us and it was great food! I'd go again if I lived closer.

I hadn’t been here in years. I happened to be in the area and give it a go. I vaguely remembered someone commenting on it recently. Well, maybe it wasn’t good comments. All I can say is, not good. Borderline terrible. The restaurant seemed dirty. The floors were sticky. The bar top was sticky and dirty (old food/debris). The salad was pre-prepped and brought out covered in cellophane (slightly brown). The ranch dressing tasted nothing like ranch and had more texture than it should’ve. The American fries were either re-warmed or re-heated. Either way not fresh. The upside, the price wasn’t terrible and the catfish was bad. But I wouldn’t go back. The other upside is, I haven’t gotten sick.

Had a nice supper here. Food was delicious. Service lacked a lot but there was only 1 waitress coveting the whole room. She did her best.

The Covid pandemic and Governor's draconian restrictions have had their bad effects on this once delightful restaurant. The food is still very good and still serves generous portions. They've cut back on some of the country restaurant extras, such as salad and soup bar. It has become a little seedy inside and I advise sitting at a table rather than an uncomfortable booth. I will still make a point of eating here as I love the ambience of river town Meredosia.

Food is good, drinks are generous, and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Usually make it a point to visit at least once when passing through. Try the tenderloin, po'boy, frog legs if that's your thing.

It's rare to have a restaurant that knows how to cook Buffalo Fish. Quite a treat for a traveler who enjoys a good fish fry.
