This is one of those places political correspondents will visit to get local flavor and opinions before an election. At first we were going to complain that the waitresses seemed to be spending an awful lot of time on the phone... But it turned out that one of their long-time regulars, a 90-year-old man, had not shown that day, and they were trying to track him down to make sure he was okay. Talk about service above and beyond!
We stopped in for breakfast while headed home on a multi-state road trip. The lovely woman was doing it all herself and was still friendly and offered mushrooms in our haystack because we can't have meat.
We were Stuffed!! It was delicious and we are so glad we stopped in to eat. Thank you so very kindly!!

If your in the area don’t pass it up. It’s worth getting off the highway, seeing the Superman statue and eating at Yesterday’s. We asked for recommendations from our server, and the chicken fried steak and chicken and dumplings did not disappoint.
