First time there and won’t be our last.The only thing I will say is the wasabi cucumber sauce definitely has a kick. The owner Bob is one of the nicest person we have met and talked to in awhile

Rob is awesome. Rob runs the the Shrimp Barn and makes the best grilled shrimp taco’s ever. Never thought I would mix shrimp with taco’s but there the best I ever had. No one could make better then the Shrimp Barn. Thanks again Rob for another great treat. Money well spent.

Really enjoyed ourselves here, it's a local restaurant for us and we were so glad to meet the chef. His stories were fun and he's an excellent cook. I enjoyed the Grouper dish and my husband had Seafood Combo...those hushpuppies were the real deal and ate with the lobster bisque, which was so good. We'll be back to dine and drink.

Excellent food!! We usually settle for takeout but finally managed to eat in. Food was great: fried scallops were very good and juicy. All fish is fresh and our server, I think he was the owner as well, was extremely personable and helpful. The chicken was juicy. My only wish is for more honey on the fried chicken to really hit home with the sweet/savory combo!!

Good and friendly service. Wait time > 40 minutes after order (except for wine and drinks). Price is fair but they run out of certain food you may order so be double sure you ask them if your order is available or they may come back after a long time and tell you they don't have.I think they can do better with one more server given the size of customers and reduce wait time because they have one person serving. Prepare to spend extra time before getting served here.Otherwise everything else is fine and the atmosphere is nicely set up.

Was super disappointed. Ordered LAKE perch and was served large pieces of fish (definitely not lake perch that would be small filets) Large pieces still had the skin on the fish - it was gross and horrible tasting. The waitress could of cared less that my meal completely sucked.

Extremely disappointing and unsanitary. Blatantly violates health code. I visited on 12/3/21 around 7PM. The restaurant was close to empty (only 4 other tables in the entirety of our visit.) I ordered the fried chicken. When it came to the table it looked fine, apart from the sides being the tiniest portions I've ever seen (I got 1 stump of broccoli and a literal tablespoon of mashed cauliflower neither of which I got to try) I took a bite out of the chicken breast only to immediately find it was frozen inside. I sent back my meal and after about 3 minutes they brought a replacement to the table. I touched the broccoli because it looked exactly like the last plate; it was ice cold. I looked at the chicken, and it was now covered in charred bits, turned it over and it was the same piece I'd taken a bite out of! I asked to speak to a manager and the poor waitress told me the manager is the one who cooked it... He put Chicken that was covered in honey and CHEWED ON back in the deep fryer, put it back on the same plate with the same sides and just turned it over to hide the bite out of it... absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. When the manager came out to speak to me, he 1st just tried to take the plate and walk away. When I insisted he actually speak to me he was snotty and condescending. He acted as if I was unreasonable for asking why he would send me the exact same plate back with the same food he un-sanitarily reheated. He got very close to my face and made me and my family very uncomfortable. He refused to answer why he would cook food like and just insisted he ‘tried to sear the cold part’ and that I ‘could eat the other pieces instead’. I’ve called the restaurant multiple times in hopes of reaching an owner and have only been able to reach the voicemail. I honestly just had the best shrimp I've ever had. Like, seriously. If you're looking at these reviews you're obviously already considering The Shrimp Barn as an option! Pull the trigger, my dude. Get the shrimp!
