5 year update: still fantastic food and service
When I moved to Chicago land I was in search of the best breakfast I could find, folks. This.Is.It. restaurant is worth the drive from whatever burb or city you're from.

I got the crab cakes benedict special and 30 hours or so later I got sicker than I have been in a very long time. I won’t go into disgusting detail, but I am terribly dehydrated and have horrible abdominal pain. This is the only thing I ate that was different than the rest of my family.

I WANT to like this place as there aren't many in Mokena, but the food is just SOAKING in some type of very bad-tasting GREASE--ALL OF IT!

The breakfast was excellent. This chef owns a couple of restaurants in the area of which I all enjoy. He has some German items and most American breakfast foods. I has some of each. The blueberry blintzes were great, along with the potato pancakes. The restaurant is on the smaller side and has that old world look, which made the food even taste better if that was even possible. The menu is just what you need if you eat the same thing all the time and in a rut. Try it your stomach will Thank you!

Didn’t like the food at all. I lived in Germany for 16 years, my mother is from Berlin, and I been all over Germany, but the schnitzel wasn’t good at all, lacking salt and the breading was not like a traditional schnitzel breading. I got the red cabbage and the fried potatoes as sides. The cabbage was completely overcooked and looked like it had been died with red 40. The fried potatoes were ok but not the best either. I was very disappointed after a few people had hyped this place up.

Been going to breakfast here for years, with people from work as well as my relatives. Always like to stop on when I'm back in the area. The food is consistently good and the service is great. A little difficult to get in the correct strip mall opening, but you can figure it out🤯

First time at Chef Klaus. Had breakfast with friends on Saturday. My omelet was delicious! The hashbrowns and rye toast were good, too. Thumbs up on the good coffee, and my cup was never empty. Courteous waitstaff, fast service, clean washroom, and pleasant ambiance. I recommend and will return.
