I had an absolutely disgusting experience at Applebee’s in Moline, Illinois, and I feel people need to know before choosing to eat here. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Bowl, and when I started mixing the bowl, I discovered a long blonde hair completely intertwined throughout the rice. It wasn’t just sitting on top — it was literally mixed into the food. Completely unacceptable and extremely unsanitary.
I immediately asked the server to remove the dish and refund it. The server looked confused even after I clearly showed her the hair in the bowl. Eventually the manager came over and asked if I wanted something else or dessert and said they would remove the item from the bill.
Yes, of course you should remove it — I’m not paying for food with someone’s hair cooked into it.
The response felt very dismissive for such a serious food safety and sanitation issue. No real apology, no urgency, just an offer of dessert after serving contaminated food.
If you’re searching for Applebee’s Moline IL reviews, I would strongly reconsider eating here. Finding hair in food at a restaurant is beyond unacceptable and this experience completely ruined my appetite.

Ummm, no! Let’s start off with, we waited longer for our food than I did the entire birth of my son…..Not sure why it took well over an hour for burgers? And not good ones. In fact, our food was slightly warm but borderline cold. There was no cheese pull with the rubber mozzarella sticks. I asked for loaded waffle fries…..Still not entirely sure what the hell I got outside of a hot mess? My step daughter ordered the blackened salmon. I think they scraped that piece of fish off the rocks of the Alaskan shoreline after it baked in the sun for 3 months before scorching it and overcooking it to pure bone dry perfection! $118 for 3 burgers with fries, and something they called fish. And let’s not mention the dust and the lacquer pealing off all of the wooden trim. On the upside, bathroom was clean. I think mostly because no one stays long enough to use them. Definitely dissatisfied and disappointed. We will never go back! ✌🏻

It's been years since I've gone there, thought I would give it another shot (wasn't thrilled last time I went) they weren't busy which was nice, we got a table immediately. Our server was great, very friendly, kept up on drinks, checked on us. We were waiting quite a while to get our entrees considering it was not busy. The mozzarella sticks were like rubber and my children did not care for them even though they will eat any kind of fried cheese. The side of macaroni was just noodles with melted cheese on top, it didn't get eaten. Salmon was dry and burned. All the burgers were slopped together and messy. Didn't look appetizing. We ate anyway bc we were starving. 4 people with 2 apps came to $117! Definitely not worth it. Next time I'll just go to Al's burgers, which was our original plan. I will not be going back, ever!

Ordered Bourbon Street Steaks for dinner carside. Asked when I ordered if there was another cut available and Liz said no. I told her the last time we ordered the steaks were in edible due to being full of grissel. She said they have no way of knowing that. Thst we could try again and take our chances. We we did and got burned again. We will never order these again and won’t be going back to Applebees. This was Moline

Unfortunately, our visit felt very slow from start to finish. We waited about 10 minutes before our server came to the table. Drinks were ordered but never arrived, and after 20+ minutes we asked for them to be canceled. Side salads took around 25 minutes, and the entrées came another 15 minutes later. When the food arrived, the chicken tenders were barely warm. We were there for about an hour and twenty minutes total, with minimal check-ins from our server, and even getting the check took a long time. Overall, it wasn’t the experience we expected.
