SOURDOUGH! That's all you really need to know, REAL great sourdough bread. I grew up and spent most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area and I LOVE sourdough bread. Especially sourdough baguettes, with a crisp crust and moist, chewy interior. Sourdough of ANY type is nearly impossible to find in the Quad Cities and great sourdough is basically non-existent UNTIL you discover Blue Spruce General Store. Their sourdough can compete with Acme Bread in Berkeley and Boudin...
My friend recommended this place and I have absolutely no regrets. I got the ham and manchego sandwich today and it was the best sandwich I’ve had in years. Excited for the cake I ordered for next weekend!
