Menu doesn't change often enough, but the food is good. Service is good. Atmosphere is nice, but it is basically a hotel lobby.

Delicious
We’ve been to the 5th Avenue Syndicate several times and have always had great food and service, but the last two visits were very disappointing. I ordered a filet medium rare, and it came out medium. The server took it back, but the replacement came out raw in the center. I spoke to the manager, who apologized and offered dessert, but that didn’t make up for not getting the main meal I ordered. I refused to eat it because it was raw, and while they didn’t charge me for the steak, I still left hungry. After this happening twice in just a couple of months, I most likely will not be returning. The photos posted are from another time when we had a great food experience. No photos were taken on the last visit Aug 2025.
I’m not sure if this place is under new management but the first time my steak was not cooked right a female manager made sure it was right and made sure our experience continued to be a pleasant one. They recovered nicely and we continued to have a great time and came back. However, this last time the male manager seemed annoyed that I was making a complaint and did not give me a great feel for this restaurant to come back to. When I will be spending $$$ I expect a steak done to what I ask for.

Since more details were requested, here they are.
The host seemed annoyed that she had to seat us. Maybe she was having an off night. I felt like we offended her by walking into the restaurant.
The wait for drinks and food after being seated was quite long for a restaurant that wasn’t busy. The waitress did apologize stating she had to deliver room service in the hotel, so not blaming her at all, just poor scheduling.
The fried pickles were bland and felt like someone trying to make a usually awesome bar food into something too trendy. They added cheese - sounds tasty but it was the wrong kind for the flavor of pickles combined with egg roll wrappers. The actual pickle pieces were small. One of the six was all cheese, no pickle. The lobster roll had pieces of shell in it and not much flavor, made more obvious by the giant limp piece of lettuce under the lobster meat. Maybe some coleslaw would help.
Menu has *zero* vegetarian entrees.
Bar area is pretty but the seats aren’t that comfortable, table salt wasn’t filled, table light wouldn’t turn on (I don’t think any table’s lights were lit but could be mistaken), and was fairly dim to try and read a menu.
Overall just a really underwhelming experience, especially for that price point. Won’t be coming back.

Visited for the first time and was blown away by how amazing this place is! One of the best ribeyes I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was upscale but inviting. Service was friendly and helpful throughout the night. Syndicate is a gem!

Date night at an upscale classy bistro. We shared the Shrimp Gnocchi and a salad with spicey ranch. It was absolutely delicious. Valerie our server was very cool and made the evening perfect. Great personality. I had a glass of Mascoto that was perfectly chilled and mu husband had a Sapphire Martini. We had the apple crisp with maple pecan icecream for dessert and next time would skip the crisp because it was sick. The icecream was good though. We will definitely be back. Thank you 5th Ave Sydicate.

High price does not meet the high expectations. $15 for 5 pieces of not great tasting deviled eggs. Overpriced entrees made by average chefs. 7 pieces of 16-20 shrimp in a $32 dish! No complimentary bread or anything.
Atmosphere and service were good or else it would definitely be a one-star review. It’ll be hard for this place to compete with other fine dining selections in the QC area.

This is definitely the worst fine dining in QC, small menu selection, not friendly to vegetarian, food tastes really mid, displays are not good either, no complimentary foods like other fine dinning restaurants here. These 5 pieces Deviled Eggs for 12 bucks, made no sense, if there’s more parmesan crisps for topping, maybe I would be fine for the price. Sauce for Shrimp Gnocchi is watery, I definitely can’t see pecorino cheese in the entree, gnocchi is just regular gnocchi, not herbal like description said. It’s definitely not worth over $30 especially for 7 pieces shrimp. Lobster roll was the only entree we liked, fries came with it was tasty too. So 2 stars for this entree and our server who’s really good. Btw, I waited 20 mins for drink after we already finished app, because bartender needed to find ingredients to make this drink 🤷♀️
Good food chill atmosphere. Ran out of fries so no burger for me.

The burger and side salad were absolutely beyond tasty. The beef was fresh and well seasoned. The server was customer friendly offering crowd favorites, and checking to make sure you were satisfied. The best part of the meal was the White Russian Parfait that was decadent, and full of layers of chocolate with a brownie at the bottom. The prices were above average but worth the value as you enjoyed the upscale quiet environment.
We were there for the Mother’s Day brunch. All of the food was delicious! The moms were even given a rose. Everything was perfect!
Classy looking joint
I ordered a bowl of the soup of the day and asparagus. The word bowl is being extremely generous. It was only maybe 4 ounces of soup and there was only 5 thin pieces of asparagus. Very overpriced for what was received. My friends had steak and frites. The steak was excellent and cooked to their liking. The frites were cold. Our server was outstanding and very attentive.

We popped into Fifth Avenue Syndicate for a nice, dress-up-excuse cocktail, and we were very impressed!
The restaurant/bar is in the Axis hotel, and while I do wish that it was separated from the check-in desk for the hotel, the atmosphere is very akin to a speakeasy and feels very elevated.
Jennifer waited on us, and was enjoyable to talk to and was always willing to provide recommendations for pairings when we were debating a new drink or food item!
We tried the goat cheese terrine, which was fabulous (I'm not usually a fan of anything with crostini because they're typically rock-hard, but these were perfectly soft and paired beautifully with the dish), and then had the brownie parfait which was also delicious.
We will definitely come back to Fifth Avenue Syndicate next time we visit Moline, IL!
