Tacos were loaded with meat. I got the taco dinner and was full off of 1 taco and half of the rice and beans. Horchata was delicious as well. Definitely will be back.

The beef was water logged and had no flavor. Wasn't a fan of the Pico or whatever they call "salsa" when you get chips and salsa. There are too many good Mexican restaurants in the qc area to go back there again.

La Rancherita 2 is a great choice for Mexican food in the Quad Cities. Their menu is a good mix of authentic Mexican dishes and standard Mexican-American fare. They offer something for everyone at a reasonable price point and the service is always welcoming and friendly. Overall, I feel that the ambiance and service at this location is superior to that of their original restaurant, La Rancherita in Rock Island. The ambiance is more like a fast casual restaurant and less like a taqueria. It also has a better parking lot and the food is equally delicious, if not better. The steak burrito is my go-to. It's a a winner for lunch or dinner! A super-sized flour tortilla filled with thinly sliced steak that is tender and well-seasoned, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. Dine-in or takeout, it's consistently delicious and filling! From an operational standpoint, they have a couple of quirks to be aware of. First of all, it's cash only. They have an ATM in case you're not prepared. Secondly, the waitress will not bring your check to the table. It is awaiting your arrival at the cashier. This makes tipping the proper amount somewhat problematic unless you keep a running tally or like returning to the table to leave a tip. On the other hand, if it's your treat, it makes it convenient to discretely settle the tab and tip afterwards.

La Rancharita 2 is the exception to the old saying.... "nothing is as good as the original". Rancharita 2 takes all the favorites from the original restaurant, plus the traditional friendly service, and applies it to a great location on the Moline Hilltop. In addition to the tasty entrees and famous pico de gallo, they have a nice little bar to provide drinks that pair great with Mexican dishes. Of course the tacos and burritos are good, but I also recommend the Carne en su Jugo (soup), Tortas (Mexican sandwich), and Juevos con Chorizo (chorizo and eggs). My favorite is the large combination when I really need something to fill me up. ¡Delicioso!Parking: Parking is limited (and kind of tight) at the restaurant. If there isn't a spot in site you can park across the street near Hardee's and walk over.

I've never had a meal that was bad. The downside is that at night, this restaurant is poorly lit. During the day, it has a wonderful natural light from the large windows. There are also booth seats where the leather is splitting open, and it seems icky to me. Food normally runs about $20- $25 per person (with an alcoholic beverage). I go here frequently!

I first want to say that this is about the La Rancherita in Rock Island but their FB page is not maintained. Same restaurant, different location.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to find a current, updated menu with prices online for either location and I know why. In what world is a meatless taco $5 more than a ground beef, chicken, steak, or pork taco ?? I ordered for carry out and got 3 tacos and a burrito ( which was meatless as well ) and it cost me $32 !! No beans and rice, no chips and salsa, no beverage …. CARRY OUT !! And not only that, the Chile relleno taco was the size of a child’s hand, soggy corn tortilla and a small poblano with maybe an ounce of cheese. $8.99 !! Unbelievable !! And it wasn’t even good !! When I called and asked to speak to a manager, I was told she wasn’t there. I asked what time tomorrow may I call to talk to her and the answer was “she in and out all day” What ?? I can go to La Herradurra in Silvis ( which is much better than La Rancherita BTW ) and order a Carnita PLATE that comes with beans and rice, chips and salsa and a tortilla for less that $20 !! La Rancherita has lost a customer and you better bet I will tell as many people that will listen to save their money and eat somewhere else. What a joke !!

Super rude staff, wow. Started mopping with bleach water next to us after they delivered our food so we would hurry up. Don’t eat here unless you want rude women to serve you.

Great little spot! The food is great, and the service was on point. The only negative is that they only accept cash, but they do have an atm there. And, another suggestion, for them to bring back the patio also.

I've been searching for a QC place that can do a burrito like the late night burrito spots in Chicago, or college towns. This place doesn't feel like one of those spots... but the food! I finally found my burrito!
