Our favorite Mexican place in the quad cities, very easy to access from Rock Island Arsenal, huge menu, everything we’ve had has been well seasoned/cooked/and assembled.

Does anyone know why they have been closed lately?
This place was packed and hoppin' before a recent concert we went to but what an operation! Waited no more than 20 minutes to be seated (10 groups ahead of us) and service was immediately and excellent all night. Drinks and food came quickly and was absolutely outstanding. You'd really being doing yourself a disservice by not eating here ASAP!

Cozy Mexican restaurant in downtown Moline. Come hungry! The Taco salad I got was stuffed with so much chicken I couldn't eat it all. My husband's burrito was good and he ate it all even though hewasn't hungry. The young man who served us was so sweet and a hard worker. He made me a special NA cocktail and asked my husband if he liked onions in his burrito which he did not. Usually we have to ask, instead he asked him! He's a gem!

This was a good place to stop in quick about 6 pm on Tuesday night. They had steady traffic and had adequate seating as they were taking parties of all sizes. I sat at the bar and was served quickly. It was not overly loud and the chairs were as comfortable as the booths appeared.
The Salsa was fantastic! My meal was the Enchiladas Supremas. The meal was more than filling and larger than I expected. The enchilada sauce was put on heavy and was not my favorite. I would ask for less sauce in the future as it was drenched. The sauce was very earthy tasting. They did say the normal chef was out and it could be off this time.
I might try it again for a quick bite and close walk from the hotel. However, it will not be a place I frequent as I will try other Mexican Restaurants before I make it a destination.
Parking: It looked like most people were parking in a free lot just a short walk away.
Wheelchair accessibility: It was tight getting into the restaurant. Looking around, it could be tough to navigate in a wheelchair or if using other medical devices.

Great customer service good dishes had a lunch and I was surprised how absolutely quick They are to come and check on you to see if you need anything else that's the sign of a great restaurant I'll tell you what.

We were looking for a sit-down supper and happily found a Mexican option close enough for walking. Day of the Dead decor and comfortable seating. We snuck in right as the restaurant was getting busy. Staff was quick and competent. Food was plentiful and had a good flavor, although the camerones a la diabla were more tomato than chile per himself. Our 14 yr old liked the camerones portales, which had a mild chipotle flavor, and I enjoyed the chilaquiles. We al had leftovers to bring back to the room for a later snack attack.

The food at Los Portales is authentic and always fabulous. When I visited recently the service was not good at all. The waitress was unfriendly and at times rude. Usually we have great service so this was very unexpected especially when we brought family there from out of town bc we always have such a great experience and food. Giving 2 stars for service because the food came out quickly, hot, and wonderful. Kudos to the kitchen.
