I hadn't eaten there in a couple of years. I moved to southern Illinois after my wife died. I lived in the quad cities. Most of my life, and ate at Uncle Pete's quite often It is always good, and unlike other restaurants, the food is plentyful and delishishis Most other restaurants cut the size of their meals. A friend recently this place as the best gyros in the QCA. He wasn't wrong! In spite of high expectations, I wasn't disappointed!

We came in as a group and we got our food and were missing a sandwich. We got up and told them we are missing a sandwich the workers did not care at all we talked to them for 10 minutes. The owner then came to our table and started asking for receipts, asking us a million questions interrogating us. At the end he asked to see our bank statements so we showed him our bank statements to see what we paid still did not care, terrible owner terrible service. At the end we told him to keep the sandwich we don’t want it anymore he said okay and walked away. As a side note we spent over 120$ and they thought we were lying over 5$. We were racially profiled by the owner and who doesn’t respect minorities, lost all business from us in the future, I have never been disrespected by a restaurant owner like that ever. This place does not deserve for customers to walk in. unbelievable from the owner. i strongly recommend staying away from this place.
