I just dined at Momence Cafe for the first time after hearing so many great things, and was still so impressed by how good the food was!! I had an omelette, soup (which changes daily and is amazing) and the French toast and everything was PERFECT. And everyone who works there is so so kind. Can’t wait to go back and try more!!

This is not a 5 star restaurant. I can't imagine who wrote the other reviews.Both food and servoce are less than average.There were two of us. I ordered spagjetti which came with a salad and desert. The salad was the greens mix you buy at the grocery. Both our salads came wilted. My husband was served the wrong dressing.My husband ordered chicken parm.meal. It came as a sandwich. The waitress did not make it right. It was bland. I ordered spagjetti. They didn't bother to open a can of tomato saice and add onoins, garlic and herbs. Rather it was covered with some bad tasting jar sauce. Of all things tomato saice is so easy to make. Mine was supposed to come with desert, which the waitress forgot to mention. She had to be reminded that ot was included with the meal. My vanilla icecream was so cheap ot was orange. I wondered if the ingredients for my meal came from Dollar General.I know what a 5 star restauramt in Chicago is or even a very good diner in a small town. This is not one of them. It needs better food and better service.

My wife and I were on a road trip when we were driving through moments, illinois. We found this little cafe and I ordered a mushroom swiss hamburger. The hamburgers patties were handmade and the mushrooms were delicious and served on a brioche bun. It is a very very good hamburgerMy wife ordered the salmon meal it was a very generous portion and the flavor was great!

The absolute best homemade hashbrowns. Wonderful coffee and perfectly cooked French toast. This little hidden gem is a restaurant you would expect to find in the big city. Homemade soups daily too. A small town treasure. Clean facility. Friendly service. Hubby and I recommend the cream of broccoli and chicken rosemarino soups. Chicken Florentino had 2 breasts, artichokes, and spinach with a hearty portion of pasta. It also comes with garlic bread. But wait, dessert is included too! Today's choice was tapioca pudding, chocolate pudding, or vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend dropping by for a snack or meal. We'll be back.
