Living in a small town and trying to find a good Chinese restaurant is almost impossible. After the wife needed to run an errand in Monticello, we came across The Golden Kitchen along the way home. She ordered me take out, for my dinner when she returned home. I must say, I had the best Chinese food in our limited area..hands down! My wife was greeted friendly, the portions were perfect for my dinner, and at reasonable prices. In the future, I now know where I'll be going in the future!

I love this place so much. No clue where people think this food tastes good. The chicken tasted like Wal Mart chinese food, and I've gotten better egg rolls out of the microwave. Maybe if you have only ever been exposed to buffet's and frozen Asian cuisine, you could find this palatable. very dissapointing and very pricey.

They won't even answer the phone on Saturday night and when they do answer you will get 5 pieces of beef and the rest broccoli. I paid good money a few times and they short you on meat and everything tastes bland. The steamed dumplings were stickyLow quality. Family business and i support that but the owner needs to do right by his customers
