I like to support local businesses but I've been burned twice now coming here and they are not open during their published business hours. The latest time I came here on a Tuesday and they have a sign on the door says closed from 2-4.
Best place around! Wonderful service, delicious food, great people! My husband and I love coming here for date night.
Great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service!!
Amazing service & food!💜 The chicken fajita quesadilla is sooo good!
A fantastic hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Service was quick and professional. Lunch was okay, but priced accordingly.
Very cozy, will eat here again.
Excellent service and clean restaurant. You can tell that management cares.
Plenty of variety on the menu, large portions and reasonable prices. Our food was served fresh and piping hot. Chips were warm and crispy.
The seasoning has a definite Southwest flair. It was midwest mild but flavorful. Most locals should love it.
For myself, being a transplanted Texan, I greatly prefer TexMex. Because of the many good qualities of this restaurant I would eat here again.
Hot chocolate like my grandma used to make, good food, sports on TVs instead of news, fast service.
Great food and attentive service.

I called and it was literally done before I got in the car and to the restaurant it was very delicious and affordable for one person I had enough for two meals and I ate way too much of this delicious food they accommodated me by putting the zucchini in my food and also grilled jalapenos it was delicious I would totally recommend this to anyone traveling through this tiny little quaint town
Vegetarian options: They have bushes outside to snack on if you don't want any meat
Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions you should have stayed at home
Parking: Is confusing One Way streets but after you get used to it you'll figure out there's parking right in front of the building
Kid-friendliness: I reckon children should eat here as well
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a sidewalk they can roll around on

This place is very inconsistent. One day it will be delicious, the salsa will be on point and contain cilantro. The next week nothing will be seasoned and the salsa will contain oregano and be very sweet and not taste like salsa at all. Quite often the dish I order is not prepared as described on the menu - either missing an ingredient or has something that want listed. Last night I got the Barbie Special which was supposed enchiladas stuffed with chorizo, crab, tilapia, and shrimp, topped with vegetables. The filling was pretty nasty looking, dry as could be and not a full shrimp to be found, let alone any identifiable crab or tilapia. Tasted like burnt chorizo and cannot stress enough how DRY it was. The vegetables were served on a separate plate with black beans. All extremely bland and also room temperature. There were only 2 other tables seated inside but for some reason we waited 20 Minutes for food that was not hot. One of the tables was 3 ladies getting their drink on and being obviously flirty with the 2 male servers, who were both too busy hovering around their table and chumming it up to even take our order for the first 10 minutes we were there. The female server initially introduced herself but then disappeared, forcing one of the males servers to tear himself away from the ladies and tend to our table. When she resurfaced she mostly was just taking care of her kids which were in store and sitting in a booth. The only food I saw her serve was to those kids. In the past we've had plenty of good experiences here, and they have lots of really tasty things on the menu. Idk if they have just one cook that refuses to follow the recipes or what, but it's very disappointing when the menu preparation is inconsistent.
Parking: Have fun finding a parking space. Ever since covid they put an outdoor patio in the 5 whole parking spaces they had, and now there's maybe 3 left on the same block as the restaurant. Downtown Monticello is a nightmare to park at during dinner time.
