La Mex Fine Mexican Cuisine

The food was good, nice big shrimp, but the skirt steak was 3 very thin small pieces. It was however tender and juicy. Chips were good, salsa has good flavor but it was like tomato sauce. Service was good.

Their Chicken Jalisco was absolutely delicious!! On a different note..What happened to supporting our local businesses? La Mex has been a staple of Morris and it seems like I'f we don't continue to support it will disappear shortly. We lost Tobbys but La Mex?? There's nostalgic memories stored and to just let another business suffer is insane to me.

Food and service are fantastic! There are a lot of great dishes to choose from. Prices were a bit high but I guess that is what we are dealing with now unfortunately.

Food was disgusting go to a different place.

Do not eat here...the food was so expensive and totally not worth the price... If I could id give it zero stars but that's not an option.. for four taco n 2 enchiladas a cup of white cheese two waters and a soda was 89.00. the chips were not homemade they were so salty I could barely stand to eat them.. tacos were cold and had a solutely no seasoning tasted like chicken from a can n few pieces of shredded cheese.. worst taco I've ever had in my life bowl of cheese was almost 9.00 cokes were 4.50 each... Worst Mexican place I've ever ate I wouldn't have gave them 5.00 for the whole meal..very disappointing n not good so expensive. If u want good.food worth the.money go to Carlleones downtown best lasagna I've ever ate... Half the price twice the food and it's amazing . Don't eat at this restaurant

We’ve gone here a few times now and are never disappointed with the service or the food! Only complaint is it is a big dark in there so make sure to bring a flashlight to read the menu

La Mex is simply the best! The owners are generous and the food is delicious! We have dined there many times and it’s consistently good. Tonight the owners and staff donated a WishReveal taco party for Make A Wish. Julie is a fantastic server and the Skinny margs are on point!

No such thing as customer service. They sit you then they stand in the center service station on their phones. Tried to discretely complain about their dinner platters quesadilla lacking in cheese. Had it open for the waitress to see a pile of meat. Its a quesadilla, can we have cheese for it? Brings a bowl of cold cheese. To then be charged for it. Asked to remove of our ticket, To have the manager argue the portion sizing to read the menu while holding our check. To asking for the check so we can just pay and leave for them calling the police. Customer service just out the window. Smaller portions and pay more if you don't like it. I'll just cook from home.

After buying the #1 combination dinner platter which was very skimpy for $16 I get into my quesadilla to see there is no cheese. In my meal that starts with the word cheese!!!!!! when I asked for cheese for my no cheese quesadilla she brings out a whole bowl of cheese says nothing walks away on my bill there's a $3.50 when I asked to take it off my bill because the quesadilla wasn't made right in the first place the manager felt it was proper to educate me on how quesadillas are made and try to be little me for 10 minutes to try to get a reaction out of me when I have heard enough I finally told her to get my ticket so I can pay and be on my way she then called the cops on me. This place is awful and the manager is the epitome of the fall of society. The meal was awful the service was awful and in the end I get talked to and belittled. There is no customer courtesy here whatsoever couldn't even get a drink refill. The taco tasted off like the meat was rotten. Even the police officers that showed up said go to habanero they're better. After telling the manager I never want to eat here again before I even paid she then tells the officers were not even allowed their again. if you hate waitressing I don't understand why you're a waitress these people show no compassion to anyone avoid this place. After reading other reviews I see that there have been other complaints about this manager. I also see that there have been other complaints about the quality and the food being overpriced. These all came to be true

The steak taco was not good. I’ve eaten at La Mex in Joliet, the quality was much better. The combination plate was bland. I do not recommend eating here.
