We were on our way home from Midway Airport and wanted to stop for a meal before arriving home. We stopped at Long John Silvers since there is not one where we live.Bottom line was, that the resturant was not open per the operating hours on the door.Terrible way to do business!

I went there tonight around 8:00 PM my french fries or horrible. They taste like they had been put in the basket two or three times or under the light all day long in my cocktail sauce also so far I could not put my strimp in it I practically had to throw away about 3/4 of my food. It was not good. I somewhat forced myself to eat the little bit I did it. I am so glad I wasn’t buying this for my grandkids. They would not have eaten this at all and I would not have wanted them to eat this.

Overall a good experience. Only complaint was the cashier rang us up for shrimp add ons that cost more than what we were trying to ask for (the 8 piece shrimp). We will be back though.

We drove 40 minutes to come eat Long John Silver’s, one of my husbands favorite fast food restaurants for his birthday dinner. I will never return to this location ever again. First off we walked in waited 10 minutes employees and manager just looked us every now and again not even acknowledging we were there, I finally spoke up and asked this young girl if there was anyone taking orders (a gentleman who was waiting for his food told us not to waste our time because he had been waiting over 20 minutes for his food and was about to have to leave because he was on lunch for work). This young girl snapped at me with an attitude saying there was only 4 of them working there I continued to say I understand that but a simple “we will be right with you” instead of blatantly ignoring us with poor attitudes acting like it was an inconvenience to do their job they get paid for… she responds with “mkay what do you want” I would have said some choice words and left if my husband didn’t have his heart set on the food. She continues to make rude comments saying “if you don’t like it you can leave” as she was preparing food.. should have responded if you can’t have a decent attitude maybe you should quit!!! Then the gentleman we spoke to who told us basically not to waste our time goes up and asks how much longer his food was going to take because he was out of time for his lunch break and she grabs his food and slams his tray on the counter and when he said something to her about it and her poor attitude she snapped back at him. I’m sorry I do not care if you are short staffed or having a bad day to be that level of disrespectful is unnecessary. Also watching them handle food with NO GLOVES is also a sanitation issue and another girl was working in a spaghetti strap tank top, nobody had hair nets handling the food. Don’t know how this place is even in business.

Worst food I've had in my entire life.
Dripping in oil. Way to salty. Hushpuppys burnt and hard as rock and Forgot my fries and sauce. I threw it away .

Ordered inside. Service was slow. Gentleman behind us ordered after us, waited on his food while sitting down, got his food then ate all his diner before our food even came out. Then there was no silverware. We asked the girl that gave us our order for some and she very rudely said over there. When I explained that we already looked and there was none she said there was ( like we hadn’t looked) and gave us an attitude. She reached under the counter and gave us the forks. Later she checked the silverware area and surprise, surprise there wasn’t any! Food was ok. Then when we used the restrooms they were atrocious. I got the irony from the sign on the wall on how they were checking the bathrooms every half hour for cleanliness. Yeah right, every shift maybe ! We went to LJS because that was his mom’s favorite restaurant and today was her birthday. We lost her three months ago. We drove all the way from Aurora. Will not do that again. Sorry mom!

Went there today and a nice young man waited on us. Very friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He was probably the youngest employee there today. Probably about 18 and black. He should be a manager.
After sitting down and beginning to eat, a cockroach crawled on my leg. I jumped up, went to the counter, and asked for the manager. She had an attitude before I even told her what happened. She walked away while I was talking to her, saying she had more important things to do. I called her back, and she accused me of lying, saying it was a fly. I asked for my money back and she argued with me. Then she wanted our plates and drinks. We happily gave them to her. She said she didn’t want to “deal with me.” I’ve been in the restaurant business myself on and off since I was 14, and I’m 63. I was shocked at the rudeness and accusation of lying. I have never even witnessed such poor customer service in my life.

Sorry but there has been no customer service training at this LJS. Sad. LJS have closed nearby decided to visit Morris LJS/KFC combo. Service was nearly non-existent and food was sadly much shrunken in size while not at all shrunken in price!
