We ate at R place about 20 years ago and it was outstanding, great fesh baked dessert. We were so excited to have the opportunity to stop in again and were soo disappointed. The wait staff were great. The food was quite disappointing. The meal arrived, no bacon on my husband's burger. They quickly gave him cold bacon. His fries came Cold. Sad that so many good returants have gone down hill.

Close to the bathrooms and showers so it smells bad when you sit near the doors in the restaurant. Looks like they didn't vacuum my the carpet for weeks. My table was dirty and sticky. I normally would consider buying a bakery item but it seems really unsanitary now. It wasn't busy there but still took a long time to get my drink and appetizer. The pretzels were burnt. The cheese was sitting out got cold and tasted like Velveeta not regular cheese sauce. Even though I didn't eat them and left before my food came out the waitress was still going to charge me for them. Before covid the restaurant was decent but now it is awful. There is not a lot on the menu anymore. Truckers who don't have options will probably continue to keep the restaurant open

Used to be my favorite place to stop! So much better before BP ruined it. They ruined every good independant restaurant in TA/ Petro. They replace good quality/ affordable food and replace it with expensive garbage.
I just want to share, today on 7/13/2024 around 11am, my husband and I stopped in for a late breakfast. We were seated and greeted by the most sweet girl ever. The food was amazing! She continuously apologized for itty bitty things, but I truly don’t think she knows how amazing of a waitress she is! To the younger girl in the black bandana that served my husband and I, we ordered the Louisiana skillet and the chicken fried steak meals, you absolutely rock and deserve a raise. I hope we made your day as much as you made ours, beautiful! You’re amazing! ❤️
