Just lucky to find The Greenhorn when I was passing through the area. I will keep it starred in my map for future trips. The brisket sandwich and the armadillos eggs were great. The menu is full of good looking options, I look forward to visiting again so I can try something else.
Great place, great atmosphere. To bad it burned down in mid June 21'. Hope they reopen and it's as good it used to be.
Haven't been here in a long while as not in the area but was happy we stopped. Our server was super fast and efficient, we had our drinks within a couple minutes of ordering, food then came out fast, hot and very tasty. I had the Greenhorn steak sandwich cooked to a perfect medium and my wife had their chicken chopped salad which was loaded with extras. Definitely going back again next time I'm in Morris!
Looks like a dive bar but really done up nice inside...food was great and Death by Rum is excellent

My absolutely favorite place in Grundy to eat. The salads are humongous and no skimping on ingredients. Pork or Steak medallions are all I can order, as they're too good to try another dish. Wait staff, awesome.

The food and staff here is amazing! This place is about an hour away from my home but I will definitely be making it back out that way again.

We chose Greenhorn because we saw a review that said they had gluten free buns - they did not. When I ordered, the server did not know what gluten free was and when she asked the cook, he thought it was dairy that contained gluten. Needless to say, as a celiac I probably won’t be returning. I would have given it a 1 because there is no reason a restaurant would not be educated in gluten free options, but I gave it a 3 because the others in our party enjoyed their meal.
Food was good. Ambiance great. Not overly loud. Service great. Will go again .
I have not had a bad experience here. Very consistent. Try the seared Ahi tuna.
Steak perfect, nice cowboy feel, and server was great!
Gotta try the Ruben rolls!! Black and blue burger is really good!! I recommend getting it with the crumbles on the side. Accompanied by ranch / blue cheese dressing.
