Savory Crust Gourmet Empanadas and, believe me, I was not disappointed at all. Savory Crust Gourmet Empanadas is located in a strip mall with lots of parking on the northeast corner of Dempster St. and Harlem Ave. Start by saying the service was excellent the lady at the counter helped out with all my question it's my first time. I got 3 different empanadas my favorite in order 1.The special for the day Bacon Brie & Fig amazing my favorite one! 2.Argentinian Beef 3.Pork Belly. All the empanadas were hot and had amazing flavors, man that crust is so crazy flaky and soft I loved it. The Bacon Brie & Fig was dynomite everything work perfectly together sweet and salty cheesy. For all 3 empanadas l will say they do put a good amount of filling in their. 100% recommend!

These are the best empanadas! They have creative flavor combinations- I honestly got so excited about those, I haven’t tried any of the traditional empanada flavors, I think! The chicken pot pie empanada is so good it’s almost addictive! Also love the Pork Belly and Argentinian Beef. Give them a try. Carry out only, but worth the detour!!

I’ll start by saying the food is delicious. I drove 15 minutes out of my way home twice to this place. I also live an hour from the Morton grove location. My first visit was missing an empanada. I let it slide because the food was really good but I received a text from the store and I responded that I was missing an empanada a few weeks past I returned. I let the one girl that helped me the last time know what happened then a very rude young lady, behind her with green hair and facial piercings, gave me an attitude and claimed that I was lying about my missing food not only was she rude, but just insinuating that I was lying. Talk about how one person can ruin a business. That young lady should not be at the front counter and I hate to do this …. food was delicious. That person with green hair and facial piercings needs to be In the back with the cook or not upfront at all. I’m never the type to leave a review like this, but that young lady deserves it !

Savory Crust is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Geri is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing empanadas. Must come back. 10/10.

I drove over an hour to get Mac and cheese empanadas just to get home to have beef empanadas in Mac and cheese labeled bags….so disappointing!!

Outstanding options for rice bowls, empanadas, desserts and more. A big hit at our son’s graduation party. Everyone complimented on the food, so yummy!

The empanadas are super tasty and full of flavor. It's our second visit to this place since moving to the neighborhood, many more to come!!!
