Very good food and service. Authentic, old-style Korean dishes. Nothing fancy or elegant — just this is real Korean food.

I don’t come across good Korean spots very often and frankly speaking, the Korean food scene here has been pretty underwhelming. But To Soc Chon was such a pleasant surprise. I came for lunch on a weekend and the place was bustling with Korean diners, which immediately felt like a good sign.

I ordered the dakgori tang, and the portion was big! There were huge pieces of bone-in chicken (we’re talking whole drumsticks and thighs) and big chunks of potato swimming in a vibrant red broth. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. The broth was rich, slightly smoky, spicy, and deeply savory. It was one of those meals that wraps you up like a warm hug: cozy, hearty, and deeply satisfying. The banchan was just okay. Both of the cabbage and radish kimchi were lacking flavors, crunch, and acidity. Still, the stew more than made up for it. I’m so glad I found this place just in time for soup season.

Old school comfort soup place. Always enjoyed the gamjatang during frigid temperatures. Service is brisk and friendly. Banchan is tasty.
Parking is plentiful behind the restaurant.

Love this place. Feels like hole in a wall place like in Seoul. Traditional family secret recipe.

Fantastic restaurant! Always a pleasant experience coming here, and it seems to get better each time. The staff seem well trained, providing attentive and thoughtful service that made my lunch even more enjoyable. Takeout was no issue at all, too! Fun fact: It may seem counterintuitive, but Koreans eat hot soup meals during summer to beat the heat.

Very nice spot for traditional korean soup dishes. We had the Soondaeguk, Gamjatang, and Haejangguk - all were great. The servers were kind, price was good, and we did not have to wait. Definitely will return in the future.

If you crave hot 돼지국밥 (pork neat in pork broth) or 순대국밥 (blood sausage soup), this is the one in Illinois.

It was the worst Korean place in Illinois. Soon dae was very hard and the rice & Kimchi tasted like it was made a week ago. Soup itself wasn’t good too.
I don’t think I will revisit this place

I went to eat a bowl of sundae soup with a friend, and it was the first time in my life that I had tasted so much sundae soup. The noodles in the sundae are so dry that they don't even taste like food and have a dry feel, and the broth looks like water poured over beef bone powder. Oh, it just doesn't taste good. I recommend that you don't regret it and just buy sundae and pork parts at H Mart and make it yourself.
