First off, This was me and my daughters first time eating here, but with a place called Rick's, how could I resist, I knew it had to be good. No disappointments here! The person who took our phone order was very polite and friendly. The gal at the drive-up window was the same, loved the customer service. My daughter ordered the popcorn chicken meal and wow, the portion size was unbelievable. 10 out of 10 meal, not your ordinary standard popcorn chicken and I say that in a good way. The quality was tops. I got the 2 piece chicken dinner, 10 out of 10, just an absolutely great experience, I drove from washington because I heard good things about this place and I was absolutely not let down. I forgot to order corn fritters is my only complaint and obviously I was so excited about eating here I forgot to order them but my return trip will be very soon to do that. Its a pick up order place, no seating inside but there is seating outside in spring, summer and fall. If you get a chance to try this place, do so, and if there on point like they were tonight, you'll thank me later. Great job everyone on the crew, everything was perfect! Popeyes, and any other good chicken place, you have some serious competition and my opinion way better chicken over here at Rick's. I promise you its worth the drive wherever you live. Call ahead so your order is ready, great Job to all of you at Rick's!
Some of the best and crispiest chicken I’ve ever had. Every time I go, I feel like they are genuine and very thankful that you are supporting their restaurant. Only gripe is the mac is slightly soupier than I like and the fries could use more seasoning. But still 5/5 because of the chicken
We called in a carry out order for a late Saturday Lunch. We ordered the 12 piece chicken tenders meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. The meal comes with 4 biscuits. Everything was so good and homemade. We loved our first experience here. We highly recommend Rick’s chicken. This restaurant gets busy! Make sure to call in your order ahead of time.

Way back in June we ordered a whole bunch of fried chicken and sides for a family gathering. Food was ready for pick up and packed up nicely for the trip to our house. Everyone just LOVED the food, said that this was the best fried chicken they've had. Hardly anything left after all were fed! Great recipe, great job, Rick and staff!

Made a deliberate detour on my trip to Peoria to stop by and grab some chicken tenders after seeing the reviews. I am SO glad I did! The tenders were lightly breaded which highlights that they are all killer, no filler. Incredibly juicy and tender without being too oily or greasy, and the biscuit included with my meal was excellent and well made. The staff working were definitely busy, however the woman working the order window was super friendly and welcoming! I would absolutely come back again at some point, and you should make a trip out if you haven't yet!

Now that Peoria no longer has KFC, and even Popeye's isn't doing too good, I decided to check out local fried chicken.
I didn't regret coming there at all. The skin is crisp and the meat is juicy on dark meat! I even had the pleasure of having it prepared fresh for me (they were out at the time and had to make more)!
TIP: In the evening, it's best to wear pants and long sleeves; the mosquitoes are kinda nasty.
