I've been a fan of Lulu's for a couple of decades. The food is amazing and more importantly, consistent. I had a recent, very slight snafu, with an online order. The Ginger Chicken Salad arrived without the wontons. I know a total first world problem. But those wontons raise the bar on that salad. I called to let them know and they responded as though I was their most important customer. Within 15 minutes, we were delivered two orders of wontons and an amazing desert, marked with a "Sorry!." This little gesture has just deepened my appreciation of Lulu's. A big thank you to the entire team. Cheers.

We ordered carryout from Lulu's and everything was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the Yasai Potato Croquettes and Teriyaki Glazed Chicken Ginger Salad. On top of everything, the customer service was fantastic. An appetizer we ordered was unavailable that day; the restaurant called me to apologize, took the item off my bill, and then gave me a free dessert to make up for it. They really went above and beyond to ensure the meal was fantastic. I highly recommend Lulu's and certainly will be back.

I been hesitant to go to Lulu's because is on a unsafe part of town. But one day I was starving and decided to try it. The chicken was prepared with too much condiment, the bread was not fresh (hard on the edges) and the service was "fake friendly" Much better places in chicago.

Lulu's has a great assortment of food to satisfy any appetite. The store was extremely clean which is very important to me. Also the customer service was unbeatable. I will be returning and recommending to others.

I always have mixed feelings about Lulu's. On one hand, I really enjoy the food. On the other, it always feels a bit pricey. Most entrees and salads are $17, give or take, so I end up ordering 2-3 appetizers to at least get variety for my dollar. I do love their cold sesame noodles and potato croquettes but really only order when other family members insist. My wife and daughter usually share a bento box, which does offer some good variety on its own. While dining in, the presentation of dishes is usually very interesting, but, at a risk of beating the same damned drum again, it's not quite enough to make me feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

We love Lulu's. I've been eating from here since high school and while the location has changed the service and the food has not. I'm a vegetarian and stick to the ginger tofu salad, the potato croquettes, the veggie egg rolls and the peanut noodles. There's only been 1 mess up on an order and they made up for it with an Oreo cheesecake that was DELICIOUS. I'm a Lulu's fan for forever.

The front page of the website for this restaurant features the following sentence: "We give a respectful nod to Asian cuisine serving simple interpretations of dishes that are rooted in authentic Asian flavors filtered through an American consciousness, respectful of tradition but not bound by it." Normally I would avoid any restaurant with this kind of thing in its promotional materials, since this is usually code for 'we have no link to any Asian culinary tradition, but we're going to open an Asian restaurant anyway cuz who needs that?' However, I ignored this red flag because the place is quite close to my apartment and I wanted a convenient bite. Boy was that a mistake -- I will not be making it again. The worst dish we had tonight was the Miso Ramen. It had a broth that was incredibly sweet -- very unpleasant -- and it also had large chunks of zucchini and carrot in it for some reason? Really baffled by that choice. Neither myself nor my partner could get more than a few bites into it. We also ordered a chicken teriyaki rice bowl, which wasn't as awful as the ramen, but was definitely subpar for the price (15 dollars). We also had the cucumber appetizer, which like the ramen was unpleasantly sweet.

Home delivery... Rather oily, rather cold and rather bland. Won't order again. Delivery was fast... Within an hour.

Had the special of the day (pork steak and mashed potatoes) and it was excellent. Grabbed a chocolate muffin on the way out the door and it was great as well. Friendly and fast service, clean and well maintained. Will be back!

For food, I'd give 5 stars. But I am giving 2 for service. We arrived for dine in (having called the number on site beforehand and confirmed we could be seated), only to be refused service on the spot. I have a 2 year old who I knew would love the food from Lulus bento box, it was late and he was hungry. Turns out, you can't order food from Lulus and eat in at Taco Diablo, even if everyone else orders from Taco Diablo. It's a stupid rule they have and it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I tried to ask nicely, to reason with them, to try and understand why I can't feed my son what they make there and what he eats (while we, adults, oblige and order what we're "allowed" to order) - all to no avail. We were met with blank stares and zero empathy. Sad to say we won't be coming back ever again.
