Have you ever been greeted by almost everyone in a restaurant? Me, neither, but it happened here. Staff and patrons alike. We stopped here for breakfast after researching places on the way to Springfield. This little cafe is right off Hwy 55, loads of parking and plenty of seating. We split a 3&3 omelet (3 eggs, 3 meats with cheese) and got biscuits with that and a side of gravy. Everything was hot; the omelet could have been fluffier, but no one could argue with the amount of meat and cheese. The biscuit was fresh, and the gravy good -- needed some salt and pepper -- with good chunks of meat too. Great prices, great service, and good coffee too. Rt 138 Cafe again? Yes, please.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! I was really looking forward to this place. But this food has ZERO TASTE. NONE. Ordered and paid for a double bacon cheeseburger, but when I got down the road, realized I only received a single. At first I was upset, then I took a bite. Thank God I only got a single patty; otherwise I'd have been doubly dissatisfied. I can't imagine this place being in business much longer..

We had to stop because of really bad storm. We enjoyed this small local establishment and ate dinner while we waited for the storm to pass. The frien porkchops were super delicious.

Don't worry about the outside. Service was friendly and food was good. Sit where you want, menu has wide options with kid menu. 2 adults, 4 kids (6-15) and we all found something, nice breakfast is all day too. Bathrooms are clean. Just off the highway too so not out of the way. Would stop here again.

Very cozy place. Our tire blew and luckily we made it to this awesome place. The people there are truly those "they don't make em like that anymore", kinda people. The food was amazing. They had us feeling like regulars by the time we could pull off. Thanks for everything!
