Jenny is the best! Super friendly and always takes good care of us. Denny's makes my eggs the way I like it too, no other restaurant does. Ambience is chill and relaxing. Always love going to Mt Vernon Dennys!!!
Oh and improvement - bring back the crepes! The berry french toast just doesnt make the cut like that wonderfule breakfast crepe.

I got the grand slammwich and I’ve never had that before and it was SO delicious. My server Jenny even brought me a cup of gravy to try. She was so kind and helped us pick things out on the menu when we had questions

Short staffed. Food wasn't done and the company was out of 80% out of anything you would actually want Recommend an inspector pass through though. Bathrooms were fairly bad so I can imagine the back is after all that as well.

We had a great Christmas dinner here while traveling. It was one of the few places open and had a special Holiday Menu including roast turkey dinner (outstanding turkey!) with pumpkin and pecan pies. Great job handling lots of people and take out orders!

Extremely overpriced!!!! $3.50 for 2 PCs of toast!?!? Almost $3 per egg! I can buy a whole dozen and a sandwich loaf of bread for that!

I've never left a bad review but we went there tonight and waited 1 hours and 20 mins. Got are food. I got the country fried steak and red skin potatoes. I asked for extra gravy. Never got my gravy after asking twice. My meat was really mushy and had a teaspoon of gravy on them. Cold like it had set out for hours. Looked like a todler grabbed a handful of potatoes and threw on my plate. I had 7 of the lil baby pieces. Over half them was shriveled up burnt. Oh and got broccoli with it. It was warm. Only thing I could eat. Now I told the waitress several times it wasn't fit to eat and she said it was the guys in the back. She walked off mad. The other person got a burger and onion rings. Only thing they brought out was the burger. Took 20 mins to get the onion rings after asking multiple times. Charged me 62.00 for that crap and it wasn't even fit to eat. Waited all that time for a huge bill and nothing to eat. I will never in my life ever go back. Every worker looked like they was on drugs walking around chewing on there lips and talking to the air like a zombie. Uncalled for. DONT EAT THERE AT MT VERNON ILLINOIS ONE. HORRIBLE

Have lots of food allergies they're only serving off a particular menu could not order a crazy spicy skillet very disappointed so a one-star won't be back go to Denny's feel free to go what you want

Not so much a bad review on the server since it’s not her fault but one person on the weekend to serve for the entire place is terrible. After sitting down for 10 min we decided to just leave. Great if you arent traveling and not minding an hour or two stop for breakfast.

I ordered the Bourbon Chicken Skillet and the cook gave me like some week old chicken and took for ever sending it out like it was cooked fresh.. I walked out hungry like I am so mad right now.
