Took a rode trip to the Frosty Mug today. I had the special of the day. BBQ chicken and ham with mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed veggies and a roll. My wife had the Horseshoe. Both were excellent ??? The service was awesome. Our waitress was perfect. We always recommend this Restaurant?
Stopped in the Frosty Mug while making our way to Nashville. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had the smoked wings and Cod junk basket. Definitely would recommend!

Food was only okay. We both had the Brisket entree. Service and staff was good. This place had come highly recommended by many locals as the "best place in town". Not impressed-maybe it was an "off day", but we had better food throughout town. In my opinion, not worth it.

Great smoke. You need to try this place if you like BBQ. I ordered the pork loin. It was smoky and so juicy. Bbq sauce on the side. Paid with onion rings(best I've ever had) and a real down-home, authentic cowboy beans. 3 beans with ground beef, sweet and smoky. Garlic bread and sweet tea rounded out the meal. Wife ordered their quarter pound burger with cheese and everything. It was also smoky and tasty. We drove an hour and a half from St. Louis just to try this place. We were not disappointed. Make a day trip, it's worth it.
My best friend and I were visiting my grandmother at a nearby nursing home and we got caught in a storm with hail so we stopped here! Great food and service! Even won a little on the slots. Great first time experience. We will be back and we recommend this place! ?

Forty plus yrs in Mt Vernon, my 1st time inside The Frosty Mug. I've eaten carryout often, this was a very good experience. Wife an I had the specials today, chili and I had catfish. Both, (she let me sample) very good ,small issue with a side but quickly rectified and I got bonus chips. Will certainly come again ! Sorry to not have a name for our server, the tall girl behind the bar! Nice job!! Thank you!

It's a very good place to eat excellent quality and portioned food for insanely great prices! The atmosphere is just like any family pub. Nothing much to complain about or compliment there. It was super busy ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT which should tell you all you need to know about them, lol. Every other restaurant in the area was basically empty we passed. So if you're in the mount Vernon area vacationing or moved there...can't recommend them enough!
