We had a table of 8. Called ahead to make sure they had seating. Was informed that multiple menu items were unavailable, no problem. Ordered the pho. After 45 minutes, was informed that they could not make it. After an hour of waiting, dishes at our table came out one at a time. At an hour and 45 minutes, two at our table were left unserved. At that point, we asked for the remaining two to go. To go orders were served with liquid dripping out of them. Would not recommend.

Ordered take out at 6:00 pm went to pick it up at 7:10 then had to wait an additional 25-30 minutes until it was ready. Took it home right away and opened my food. Only to find that the vegetables were still hard as can be, absolutely no flavor, and chicken is soggy wet and pink and purple on the inside. Went back to explain the issue to the chef and he was completely unprofessional and rude. He could not have cared less that the food was inedible. Will never go back after years of ordering from here.

The most disappointing meal and service tonight 12/19/25. Food was cold, they forgot appetizer was charge 1.99 for tap water waitress didn’t check to see if we needed anything.Will not go back.

I have loved mama chans for years. The service and food was always great....BUT.... I was there today and it was the biggest cluster ever! We arrived when they opened. We ordered drinks....They informed us when arrived they were out of ice.....we ordered crab rangoon....they informed us they were out of crab....ordered crab dip....they were out of that.
Placed our order with what they had.
We were the ONLY 2 in there the entire time.
20 minutes later I got eggrolls.
30 minutes after eggrolls I got my plate of food
20 minutes after my food came my daughter got hers.
She sat for 1 hour 10 minutes waiting for HER food.
When people go to a restaurant together they like to eat together.
Their food is good....but not sure how they will stay in business with this service. Very disappointed!!!

A TV running America's Test Kitchen fills out a space with a lovely view of Main Street. Friendly staff and delicious food. Ordered 20 Crab Rangoon and no one batted an eye. I love Mama Chan's!
We had ours to go. Smelt so good in the car going home. Service was impeccable. Food was a true delight. Oh, the crap rangoons are to die for I truly don't think I've had any better.

my wife and i had the veggie spring rolls and they were enormous and delicious. i had the yellow curry and sheila had the pad ce ew (spelling?) anyway, they were both excellent. we have found our thai place!!! yay. they also serve Pho...so that will be my next try. in short, the food was excellent, the service was excellent, what's not to like?

Well worth the drive from Decatur to this little gem of a Thai restaurant.Huge spring rolls & crab ragoon and egg rolls to die for.My pad thai was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his spicy chicken meal.Waitress was friendly & Mama Chan herself comes by and chats to make sure you're satisfied.We'll be back!
