Nehemiahs is the one of the best resturants i have ever eaten at. The service is top notch, as well as their cooks. Out of everywhere i have been, which i have been to several resturants. Nehemiahs is definetly top five. My favorite sever out of the times i have been there is the girl. Her name was Hannah and she was really good. Ive never met a more capable person than her. Also she was the best server i had.

Dean Drainage held their annual Christmas Party at Nehemiah's this year. Jadyn was our server and did a fantastic job, especially handling a bigger table all on her own. All of the food was delicious, but the appetizers and the desserts were a huge hit! We will definitely be coming back next Christmas, with many visits in between.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lovely. Warm lighting, great vibe, and servers who were polite, friendly, and impressively unbothered by the plot twists about to come from the kitchen.

Then came the drink adventure.
Of the five wines listed, three had apparently entered the witness protection program. No liquor in sight, and only two flavors of High Noon holding down the bar. In a moment of unity—and mild defeat—we settled on Michelob Ultra. And honestly? It bonded us. Nothing brings people together like collectively surrendering to the only drink available.

As for the food…
I genuinely eat better chicken from the hospital cafeteria, and that’s not a high bar one expects to compare to at dinner.

The mashed potatoes tasted like a toddler made them: adorable effort, questionable execution.

The broccoli was… eh. Nothing else to say. Just… eh.

The salmon arrived mooshy, like it was trying to reinvent itself as a spread. Flavor-wise, it whispered instead of spoke.

The ribeye was Switzerland—totally neutral, quietly existing, doing its best not to get involved in the drama happening on the rest of the plates.

On a positive note, the rolls and butter were awesome — soft, warm, and honestly the most confident thing that came out of the kitchen all night. We would’ve happily made a meal out of those alone.

Final thoughts:
Amazing atmosphere. Wonderful servers. And food that definitely gave us something to talk about over our group round of Mich Ultras. Too bad Kirbside isn't open at night, we could've went there afterwards for a pick me up after the disappointment.

Would we return?
Sure—just as soon as at least three wines agree to show up next time.

The prime rib was great. It is also a very, very nice looking, clean establishment. Great for Neoga. Be sure to support it!

Wow! Get ready for a big city meal right here in our small town. May I say, I worked in many steakhouses in Chicago for years after college so I am picky. This place is PERFECT! Starting with the completely rehabbed brick building. Absolutely stunning work, beautiful lighting, great windows, & two big doors that swing open to a beautiful new restaurant. Gorgeous, green booths line the north and south walls with tables between; a bar at the back, and a big band upfront. We went on Saturday night & they had a live jazz band playing. It was lovely! Our server was amazing! Courtney, if I remember correctly. We started off with cocktails, French onion soups, a salad, & shrimp cocktail. The cocktail sauce was made in house & was just so dang good! For entrees we had the airline chicken, ribeye steak (medium), salmon filet over risotto, & pesto gnocchi. All served with baked potatoes, asparagus, a lovely gravy for the chicken, & some mashed potatoes. For dessert, my mother’s birthday after all, we had the burnt basque cheese cake & it was divine. We switched to red wine & old fashions for the meal. Absolutely 10/10. Wait until you see the bathrooms, even. Feels like this place will be here for decades to come. Every sauce was home made, every bite was perfect. Nothing undercooked, nothing dry. My expectations were met & then exceeded what I could have ever dreamt of. In full transparency, we did order most of the menu, had all the wine we wanted, & gave just over 20% on the tip. Our total for 4 people was $380. Thank you to Lija & the culinary staff, thank you to our server & busser, thank you to the band. You all made our night so special & mom’s birthday dinner one to remember.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and building. The owners outdid themselves with the decor, creating a five-star experience. Jazz music contributed to the overall aesthetic and food was delicious.
