The younger lady who was our waitress was very nice and attentive, but the older women working here definitely had a judgmental and racist air to them. We were pushed to the counter and shortly told to checkout by a woman who had otherwise not interacted with us at all. Mind you, we were already standing there waiting for our friend to finish paying. It seemed like they wanted us out of sight as quick as possible. And the woman at the checkout counter could not muster any sort of friendliness. I asked if I could keep the handwritten receipt because I found it charming (I told her this) and wanted to have a keepsake but she insisted they must keep it and that I “could have this one” (…wow, thanks) and handed me the printed receipt. Weird. Why are you required to keep that specific receipt when you must get hundreds of them a week? You hoard all of them, forever? It felt unnecessarily frigid, especially for a place that’s called “country charm”. Couldn’t even get fake niceties, not a hint of a smile or a kind look in the eyes. The employees at Waffle House, notorious for their violence, are a million times more friendly. We watched the woman who pushed us to the counter interact with a white customer she didn’t remember who had not paid his bill from the day before (heard from their conversation) in a much more warm and friendly manner. Looking around at the people who were eating there it did not attract a diverse crowd at all and it seems they intend to keep it that way. If nobody in the establishment is racist, then don’t act so cold towards minority customers and rush us out the door. What else are we to assume?

Always busy and great food served. They really know what they’re doing!

Unfortunately the place has been pretty good but today I called to place an order and asked if I could see a menu online. I let them know the website would not let me see the menu. She said no. I said awe well that’s not great for business. She hung up on me. I called back and asked what happened. While she tried to take my order and blow it off her attitude told me I irked her by trying to figure out where to see a menu. I explained that with her attitude I would not be comfortable ordering. I guess I thought they’d want to fix the online menu…will take my business elsewhere.

Came to enjoy breakfast with our 2 young daughters. A booth came up for our family of 4. Our 10 yr old is a wheelchair user and capable of transferring to a booth but the lady managing tables refused to let us sit there, let alone listen to my husband try to talk to her after many attempts and skipped over our family. Very rude & very unprofessional. We will never try to eat here again & encourage others, especially with any sort of disability, to think before eating here as well!
