My husband and I absolutely love Gilted Edge Winery – the wine is top-notch, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the owners are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. We’ve brought multiple friends here (who now love it as much as we do!) and even joined their wine club because we just can’t get enough. Knowing this little slice of heaven is only 13 minutes from our home makes it even better. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and go – you’ll fall in love, too. 🍷✨

The property now requires everyone be 21 and over. While this is understandable, they previously allowed families to come in and spend a nice afternoon outside. The change was posted on a small corner of their website and not mentioned on their social media or anywhere else (where they are extremely active). It would have been nice to know before driving all the way out to the property and having to immediately leave. Poor business communication, and very disappointing.
EDIT: Since it won't let me reply to the owner reply. There is only mention on social media of 21+ on specific events and no posting that it is a general rule every Saturday and Sunday. Since most people use social media to get information for your business, it would be very helpful to put out a post letting people know that is your standing rule before they decide to drive out. That being said, I am changing my review to 4 stars, since my frustration on their communication does not reflect the quality of their business or property, which is stellar.

I absolutely love the atmosphere here! It honestly feels relaxing to sit and chat with a good friend and have great wine. I live down the road and come back every year. The property has plenty of seating indoor or outdoor. They provide umbrellas at each table setting outdoors.

I can't believe we have never found this place before. Very nice place! Wines were very very good. We especially liked the reds that aren't normally our favorites. I actually should say we normally have Cabernet, Melbec etc. But, the Melbec, Zinfandel and Pinot noir were very fruity sweeter and very smooth! We only bought one case to take home so that we have to revisit the place!
