We visited to there last week on my birthday. We are not middle eastern. The waitress who serve us has full attitude and bad. she treated us like we are idiots when we asked about item on menu. There was a strand of something on my husband fries ,yet she still didn't say sorry.Food taste are mainly base on sour. Grill are good but again sourness is there. And, If you are not fan for sour taste like me, you better avoid. They were singing for my birthday after the manager learned this is my birthday but there is no celebration candle nor birthday celebration is on menu, nbut I appreciated their singing for me. If you avoid lady waitress may be your day will be better. All other people were friendly and good.

I was staying with businesses colleagues at a hotel in Milwaukee Avenue in Northbrook. Not many restaurants in this area unless you fancy Korean. A US colleague recommended Al Bawadi Grill. Excellent Mediterranean/ Lebanese restaurant in Chicago Northbrook and Glenview area.

I recently visited Al-Bawadi and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Mahmoud, the owner, and his entire crew truly set the standard for hospitality and quality service. You can immediately feel the pride they take in their work—every staff member is welcoming, attentive, and genuine.
One thing that really stood out to me was how consistently the team checked in on customers. They didn’t just drop off food and disappear; they made sure every table was taken care of, every need was met, and that guests were enjoying their meals. Mahmoud himself walks around with a warm smile, making sure everyone feels at home. That personal touch is rare these days and deserves appreciation.
The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, authentic, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. The atmosphere also adds to the experience: great vibes, comfortable seating, and a very inviting environment that makes you want to stay longer.
Overall, Al-Bawadi is a perfect example of excellent customer service, exceptional food, and genuine hospitality. Big thanks to Mahmoud and his wonderful team for making our visit memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality Middle Eastern food and top-tier service!

Hands down the best Middle Eastern meal I’ve had in years. Every dish tasted homemade and full of flavor. The team here goes above and beyond—warm greetings, great recommendations, and such a welcoming vibe. The cardamom coffee is the BEST for dessert!
