I live in Colorado now but every time I visit Chicago, I HAVE to get Al's, it's my favorite place to get an Italian Combo. Will always visit when I come to Illinois.

It's ok to charge the price for the beef but atleast make it close to 6 inches and not 3 inches and then charge close to $9 just for the sandwich no wonder no customers.

Its a good quick bite. Food is consistent. Been stopping by when I'm in the area. But I used to eat here regularly when I worked in the area.Alot of other Al's have closed, I'm happy this one hasn't.Chicago has a lot of Italian Beef places, and reviews for this category is very subjective. But I have always liked Al's over Portillos, Mr.Beef, or Buona. But Johnny's on North Ave will always be top shelf for me.But this Al's has a bigger menu and is on the otherside of town, so if you're in the area swing by for a bite, most people aren't driving to Johnny's from Niles if they weren't planning on it from the start.
