I love Korean BBQ and was so excited to try this place out. I don’t like writing negative reviews but Arirang really missed the mark. The kalbi was good, a little fatty but flavor was solid. Everything else however, was just plain flavorless. The banchan was lacking, tofu soup with ramen was listed on the menu but the waitress told me it can’t come with ramen which confused me. I also got the steamed egg which I was really excited for but when she brought it over, the dish was emitting a burning smell which I just brushed off as it being hot. When we tried it, it tasted just as burnt as it smelled. I was taken aback that the waitress ignored the smell, knowing it was completely burnt and still charged us for it. I never ask for refunds at restaurants so I let it go. Nonetheless, I still tipped 22% because I know how hard the ladies work especially at their age. When I was putting the cash in the checkbook, I didn’t realize our waitress was hovering over next to me and said “Give it to me” which really shocked and offended me (at this point we already paid the bill with card so she was just waiting for the tip so she could’ve waited until we stood up or left instead of telling me to give it to her). Maybe it was the language barrier and she chose the wrong words to say but I’ve never had a waiter tell me to give them their tip after paying for the bill. It just left a bad taste in my mouth because we’re always super kind to servers and we expect the same back. I’m sorry to say I would not come back here after this experience.

TL;DR: Decent food. Horribly rude service.
Food was a good, but it seemed like most of the waitresses were rude to us merely because we showed up an hour before closing time. Our waitress insolently requested us not order bbq and stood at our table right after dropping off our check and demanded payment right then and there.
We left 15 minutes BEFORE closing time. Waitress completely ignored us upon exiting and she didn’t even remember our drinks! The service is enough to sour me from ever coming back here again.
EDIT: There’s automatic gratitude. Beware of this. Do not give them anything more. The service deserves nothing.

Came to this spot for the first time. We got the $150 special #2. The aunties cook your food over here. The la galbi was marinated to perfection. The army stew was my favorite the broth was just perfect I could have just drank the soup by itself
