Eggholic - Indian Veg & Egg Street Food

An order of vada pav has two sandwiches how ever they refuse to make one mild and one spicy. They force you to order a second entree if you want to change up the spice level. Really disappointed they couldn’t accommodate us for such a simple request. On top of that the vada pav was not very good. I have been to Schaumburg location and it’s 100 times better than Niles location. Employees at Niles need a refresher on customer service.

Pav bhaji almost tasted like a ready to eat frozen curry.
Vada pav is miles away from what it is supposed to be.
Chaas tasted like garbage water.

Not sure if this is the taste they think people will like or if it is what you get for the price.
Never going back here again.

I had tried toofani egg curry but it was horrible. I would not suggest this place to anyone who likes Indian food. The curry was raw and not cooked at all.

We love the Niles location. Food is tasty and served quickly. Our favorite is the Surti Ghotalo, Lachco and Malai tikka. Cheese katori and dahi puri are a must!!! They even catered to an egg allergy with their vegetarian menu options. Falooda and Rajwadi Lassi are awesome and they are open until 11pm too.

I walked in to ask for a fork and they said they couldn’t give me one. Is a 20¢ plastic fork really too much to ask for in this establishment?

The food was amazing and the workers very friendly! I would recommend this place! Try their paneer masala sandwich and chai! 😁

I'm shocked that this place has a rating of 4.6. We decided to go because of the high rating and were not at all impressed.
I thought the spices were very unbalanced and that my food was just very mediocre. Would never pay that high of a price for food that mid again. I also did not get much paneer for the amount of gravy. My meal also did not come with rice. For $15 that's kind of ridiculous.
My friend seemed to like her food but she got super sick from it the rest of the day.
My fiancé also thought the spices were very unbalanced. He is a professional chef, and said the rice that my friend got looked like it was just microwaved. He also felt sick for the rest of the day too unfortunately.
Also, my friend ordered first then went to the bathroom as my fiancé and I looked at the menu. We then were trying to order, and my friends drink was ready and they asked where we were sitting and started walking over to the tables. We hadn't nessecarily thought that far ahead, as we were trying to order our food. She was near a table and we just said yea that's fine we'll sit there. It was just kind of strange. Why not take our order and then give my friend her drink when she's out of the bathroom?
Also want to note that my sister told me that when she went here, she ordered a drink with her meal because it's cheaper if you do that. Her drink didn't come out so she went to ask about it. They said she didn't order one (even though she for sure did) and ended up charging her full price for the drink. That drink situation should have prevented me from even trying this place.

Lady in front is cute and nice! Good food but damn spicy. Worth it.

Disgustinf and bad service for anyone who isnt indian

I’ve been to Eggholic quite a few times before and have always liked their sandwiches and Indian street food—it’s usually pretty decent. But this last visit really threw me off. I went with my grandparents during lunch and we got the lunch special, which honestly is a pretty great deal for the price. You get rice, yogurt, two entrées, and dessert—it’s a lot of food for what you pay.

But sadly, the food this time just wasn’t it. The entrées tasted like they were overloaded with Indian spices—like it wasn’t balanced, just way too much seasoning. And the service? Definitely not great. Maybe it was because of the big rush going on, but it felt really chaotic, and we were left waiting for a while.

My family likes this place a lot, and I’ve had better experiences here in the past, so I’ll probably give it another chance. But if you’re thinking about the lunch special, just know the price is awesome, but the food during lunch might not always match up to it.

I ordered from this restaurant last night, hoping for a great experience, but I was disappointed. The portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the high prices, and the food lacked any distinctive flavor. For the cost, I expected much more in terms of quality and taste. Overall, it wasn’t worth it, and I wouldn’t order from here again.
