Said close at 10:30pm, but when we came 9:30, the kitchen already closed. Better give a call before come.
Traveled from Washington and took a uber here for dinner. I arrived during their posted open hours but find out they were closed! They don’t follow their listed hours or update them. Wasted my uber fare.
I got some dumplings here

This place can be one of the best overall korean restaurant in northwest suburb area. I have tried almost all on their menu and i can tell you its really good.

We decided to give Haewadall another shot and it has turned a new leaf. The jokbal was soft and tender and freshly made; good quality. The bossam was also soft and naturally sweet; albeit not as naturally sweet nor as tender as the first year it opened (I remember wanting to eat the bossam as is without sauces). It did have a slight pig smell but not repulsive at all.
I would definitely go back and order both dishes again.
It seems like it’s starting to build back up the older Korean clientele (which are the best judges/most critical). The side dishes were pretty good.
Service was also good.

This used to be my favorite Korean restaurant, but I will not be going any more. The prices have risen (which is understandable), but the quantity and quality has only fallen. Everytime I’ve gone these issues keep getting worse.

I've only gotten take out from here since we live in Uptown but this has definitely been my fave spot for authentic Korean food in Chicago. I'm obsessed with bossam and this has been the only spot I've found with yummy, tender, thinly sliced bossam. All the stews we've tried taste great and love that their kimchi is always nicely fermented.

Had snow, snow, snow.
아구찜: Tastes okay, but the volume is too little…to justify the price
불족발: tastes okay. A bit too sweet.
곱창볶음: It's a joke. Money waste. Almost insulting.
Oh, by the way… steamed egg, they charge $8. Unbelievable.

I don’t even want to give it 1 star! It was an acquaintance's birthday, so I recommended sea otter and had a gathering, but the freshness of the gamjatang was very low, so I spoke to the male owner, but he didn't respond. Would you trust me and visit a specialized restaurant if the taste of the food was so different? It was a Saturday afternoon, and I was wondering if there would be a problem if there were only 2 or 3 tables. It seems like the owner needs to pay more attention to the food and side dishes. I don't want to go there again. I feel like I've been betrayed by a customer! I think it's a specialty restaurant where the taste of the food doesn't change all the time.
