As a Nepali, I can confidently say this place serves truly authentic Nepali food. From the taste to the hospitality, everything was perfect. It felt like a little piece of Nepal here in the USA. Highly recommended for both Nepali and non-Nepali food lovers!”

The food is delicious. I love the vegetarian options and the complete meals for two. The staff is helpful in selecting options and very attentive. Highly recommend the Himalayan Restaurant.

I'll start with the good : the food was mostly edible. My standards are low, so take that with a grain of salt, of which there was plenty.
Now the bad: the absolute atrocious service, or lack thereof. I don't expect much given we came for the buffet, but nobody even checked on us for drinks. At some point, one of the people in my group finally flagged down a waitress for the drinks menu, and before she could order, another waitress came by and wordlessly snatched the menu off the table and walked away. Someone at A WHOLE OTHER TABLE had to stop her again and point to our table to take a drink order. For naans, something that should be replenished quickly and frequently, we had to ask 3 times, and even then got a small basket replaced once. We were never asked about drinks again, and only one server came once to pick up empty dishes. It's not like this place was bustling for a Saturday lunch, we were one of 3 tables with people. It wasn't cheap either. Do better - or, at least, just do.

Stopped here for their lunch buffet and was blown away! They had all my favorites: Aloo gobi, chicken vindaloo, samosas, biryani… and it’s all fresh! We will definitely be coming back soon. Service was excellent too, everyone was so kind and attentive.

If you like Indian food, do not eat Himalayan Restaurant.
For an appetizer, I had samosas, which were so-so but a bit of a disappointing start. I tried not to be discouraged though because I've had Indian food before with so-so samosas where the entrees were ultimately very good.
Unfortunately, the samosas proved to be the best part of the meal, by far. I had the fish curry, very spicy. The spice level was fine, although I would have liked it a bit spicier. But that's where the flavor ended. The sauce was very liquidy and tasted almost watered down. The fish wasn't tender at all.
My wife had the Dal Tadka, mild. The only flavor you could taste was garlic, so much garlic. It was otherwise completely flavorless, like an oily paste seasoned with half a bottle of garlic powder.
Not even the naan redeemed the meal. It was flat and not remotely soft-- more like flatbread than naan.
I hate being this harsh on a restaurant, but when you're paying this much for a dinner, this level of quality is unacceptable.
