The BEST Korean food in Chicago. As a native Korean and avid foodie I hold high standards for Korean cuisine. This joint offers the best favors and uses high quality ingredients of all the places I have been to in the state. The kimchi is homemade, you can tell. It’s so delicious and yet not drenched in salt and sugar, so healthy tasting yet light and flavorful. High quality, authentic, no skimping (generous portions- yay) and even greater prices (what?). It’s a hole in the wall, mom & pop shop and I can’t get enough of it. I would eat here everyday if I could. I want to give the owner and the cook a big hug, thank you thank you thank you. And please never go away.

The place has the best gamjatang, beef cartilage soup and oxtail (and cartilage combo) soup I've had in the Chicagoland area. The soup is deep and flavorful, and I don't think they take shortcuts given they only specialize in slow-cooked stews. Portions are generous for the above. Underrated given it's in a food court.
