My Husband and I agree that there needs to be more restaurants like the Omega. We both grew up in the area, and felt quite not only nostalgic but at home while dining today. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave, you are surrounded by a soft ambient glow, dark wood paneling, beautiful hanging lamps above each table. Visited Chicago from LA & haven’t been here in years so my brother & his wife took us here. Such a disappointment. Dirty place. Years ago it was clean & appetizing but these last few years it’s really fallen in cleanliness. The bathrooms are very dirty & stink! A can of fresh paint & a good wash down is required.
Beware all Muslim when dining here. You might find ham in your Corner Beef Omelette; do not even bother to highlight your concern. Their staff/Server would not be happy and cleared everything on your table. Stupid people do not need your reasoning; it is waste of one’s breath to explain their mistake. Their Facebook does not allow posting of picture as evidence.
