Mostly carryout, a few dine-in tables. 2 course meals with rice only $9! Good enough for 2 people, if you don't eat a lot.
Comparable meals at Seafood City is $15

Your longonisa has toooo much color.
The taste is good but seems after eating your very red longonisa. I do not need a lipstick?
Parking: Sometimes no space at all.

Sariling atin is the real deal. The kind of Filipino food you grew up to back at home. I get sentimental when coming here because our mom (who has since passed) used to pick up food from here to feed us throughout our childhood. She would order morcon, which is like a meat wrapped Spanish dish. Everything is amazing. My son wanted dumplings and they even fried it for him. Nothing but ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from our family!

Im going to be as respectable as possible, a scheduled pick up is a scheduled pick up. My filipina girlfriend ordered a large order for pick up at 215pm. They did not have it!!! We start work at 3pm and now we are late due to incompetent people. Thank you. After the food was given. There was no freebies due to 45 min late. Will not be recommending nor going to this place ever again.

I've lived long enough to know that each person cooks dish differently, so I must learn to curb my expectations. I visited this place and took out: Dinuguan, Pinakbet, Kaldereta, and Siopao. The Dinuguan was delicious! The Siopao is a little sweet and the inside didn't look appetizing at all, it was actually on the "gross" side. The Pinakbet, I had to throw it away, the ampalaya was raw, the meat in it was chopped lechon, which tasted like leftover lechon from two days ago. They were tough to chew. I never had pinakbet made this way. The kaldereta was okay. I expected to be a little spicy. The staff could be a little friendlier. The place was very crowded, not that they had a lot of people. It's just the place is tiny.

Restaurantji Recommends
I recently dined at a Filipino restaurant with a friend, where the kind and respectful staff made us feel comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the lechon kawali, turon, kaldereta, and the macaroni salad for our dessert. I highly recommend this for those who are craving Filipino dishes.

I love the food but the cut of the meat for all viands are big. Can you make the cut a little smaller? It's hard for someone who has chewing problem like my Aunt and Grandma.

The food is good but not sure how fresh and if they serve it the next day.
Service is always poor. You could tell no one work in a customer service before. Not a friendly atmosphere. They talked to each other and giggle and yet always look mad to customers. Place is cramped with customers walking by while an employee making a dish for dessert on the same path. The place to eat look unsanitary. It’s 2024 be better!!!

Hard to find real Filipino food places because many of them as closed don't since COVID.

You know if I had to work in a hot restaurant 7 days a week, 10+ hours a day, answering the same questions all the time, I doubt my overall temperament and mood would be that of happiness and sunshine all the time. So I get why some people feel the service here is lacking at times. But it is what it is. And it's not your typical American restaurant. This is a cafeteria style Filipino eatery. You peruse the daily offerings and then ask for your selections and they are happy to serve it to you. My wife is Filipina and she is is one of the most caring, loving, thoughtful people I've ever met in my life. Unlike me who is the polar opposite. So whenever my white boy looking self walks into this place alone I always get looks. But all you do is kill them with kindness and soon they all return the same sentiment. Personally, I have never had an issue with the food. Everything is tasty and delicious. It is home cooking Filipino style. Some of my favorites include staples like longsilog (breakfast dish, like pork sausage with eggs and garlic fried rice), adobo, sinigang, tapa, bangus, pork liempo, chop suey, and lechon kawali. Don't be afraid to ask what dishes are made up of, you kindly ask, they will tell you. I never had any spoiled food either, I mean look at it, if it doesnt lok delicious do you want it? Shame on you for blaming them. The food is always hot and fresh and if its not - what time are you going? This place closes down at 6:00p.. So if you're going after 4:00 p.m. , chances are you're getting the last of the servings. Yeah and a lot of it's been out on the hot plates all day. That's obviously not the time to go. In my opinion, and I frequent this location enough to have an opinion, you go in the mornings or very early afternoon because that is when the kitchen is at full force and they are putting out fresh offerings because they get people in and out their door all day. So seriously, the best time to go is in the morning or early afternoon. I just went today. Walked in at 10:00 a.m. there were a few people sitting eating and I looked at the offerings and everything was filled to the rim hot fresh. There was crispy offerings. There was egg and sausages and tapas still... Oh my God! So delicious! I know they do catering as well and that's always been good too. When coming to Filipino restaurants in the area you got to do your homework. There are sit-down restaurants that serve you and wait on you and then there are cafeteria type restaurants like Sarling Atin, You choose what you want from their offerings and either take it out or are free to sit down at one of their tables and eat right there. Great little gem of the Pacific Islander type in Niles. 😎👍🏽
